We stayed in the coop this weekend and absolutely loved our stay! Waking up to hearing a rooster crow brought back childhood memories of my grandfathers farm. The coop had a great fire pit, privacy fence so you don't have to stare at other campsites, gas grill that lit with one click and had grilling utensils, beautiful views, it was very clean, and surprisingly cozy even when it got down into the 50s overnight. My wife loved the remote string lights on the ceiling inside. We brought a queen air mattress for us, and our son slept in one of the hammocks. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us and our luggage and air mattress. We are already talking about going back next Summer AND next Fall!

If you are looking for a relaxing place to tent camp in the Kanuga/DuPont area, I highly recommend giving Scott a call. His small, private campground was exactly what I was looking for. I spent the weekend cycling in the area. This location was a perfect spot for me. Scott was great to work with. I’ll be reaching out to him again when I plan my next cycling adventure in the area! Site 3 was great, Thanks Scott!

Best camping in the area. There are several tent sites with plenty of room, fire pits and picnic tables. Each one is shady, quiet and sits next to a beautiful little creek that's perfect for a dip after a long day. I've tent camped here for a few years now but recently decided to check out the new Coop a Cabana. It's a rather large chicken coop that's been renovated and repurposed into a small hammock cabin. You'd never guess it was once an old chicken coop. It's super clean, comfortable and packed with charm. The hammocks are deluxe and fantastic for sleeping. The inside is completely sealed, bug free and comes with complimentary coffee. Right off the front is the screened porch with gas grill, flat top skillet and seating for two. You can't beat it for staying dry on a rainy afternoon. It's really the perfect place to roost! Also, the owner is extremely friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Trust me, you won't find a better spot in this area. I won't be camping anywhere else from now on.

Great for convenience to seeing the area. Only a few spots so definitely call and reserve early. Nothing for kids so bring toys. Doug is great and very accommodating. Fire wood is offered for a very nominal price. Nice new clean shower! Came back after leaving to grab a hot dog and Doug provided me and my daughter with a complimentary lunch. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others. Keep up the good work there Doug. Thanks again! Almost forgot, we saw a white squirrel came by our campsite! Didn't know if you knew about your little friend there Doug?
