This slower pace on the access road is a gentle reminder that you are entering a peaceful, shared space where safety and respect for local residents are paramount. The setting, nestled between cornfields and the river, indicates a truly unique and immersive natural experience, offering a sense of escape while still being within reach of Hendersonville's amenities.

It’s a chance to truly unplug, set up camp between the fields and the river, and immerse ourselves in the quiet rhythms of the outdoors. In essence, Rhodes Ranch offers a genuine slice of North Carolina’s natural paradise, providing a serene and beautiful backdrop for relaxation, adventure, and reconnection. It’s a place that, once discovered, many of us will want to keep as our own secret gem, continually returning to bask in its unique magic.
First off, this was the best place I camped on the French Broad River. At this site, you are positioned between corn fields and the river, in this beautiful forest, with canopy trees overhead and the mountains in the distance. The sun sets right over the field the field and behind the peaks. The lighting bugs are a plenty and the place is just magical. I cannot recommend it enough, even though I want to keep this spot to myself. My only suggestion is to bring bug spray for the mosquitoes, but don't let that turn you off, once you are sprayed up they don't bother you one bit, trust me, I am a beacon for mosquitoes.
