Small and quiet campground with a small playground and a fishing pond. Adequate electrical hookups but no water at the sites so stop and fill before you set up. Picnic tables and fire rings not available at each site. You'd need to share with your neighbors. Difficult layout in parts of the campground with campers needing to park behind each other which caused a great deal of confusion about where to set up. Maybe a map posted at the office would be helpful. Our neighbors were subject to some harsh words from someone who wanted them to move their camper to allow access. Self pay in cash at the office with envelopes and a drop slot. We never did see anyone who seemed to be the owners or staff. Restrooms and showers dated but adequate. Dump station on site but the exit path requires an uphill pull on grass which might be tricky in wet weather.

Tons of shade and pretty quiet during the week. Weeks are usually packed though. It has a nice trail and showers. Only downside is that there are only 3 spots that have water hook ups but for 20$ a day who can complain.

This park works well for short visits. Its in close proximity to Kalona IA which boasts several Amish stores. The park is simple and well kept. Bathrooms are ok. No park personnel are on site. I did book my site through Facebook messenger and whoever relied, replied quickly. There are a few trails to hike, but that’s all there is. So it’s not great for children. Price is right.

We stayed over memorial weekend and loved it here. Very clean and well maintained. Kids loved the playground. The only complaint we have was the shortage of water hookups.
