It is important to note that publicly available reviews indicate significant challenges with management responsiveness and professionalism. Prospective residents should consider these factors and conduct thorough due diligence, including attempting to contact the park directly and seeking current resident testimonials, before making any commitments.
Based on the provided information, there are no publicly advertised promotions or special offers for Vermillion Mobile Home Park. The customer reviews primarily highlight significant challenges related to management communication and service, rather than any promotional incentives.
It is common for mobile home parks to offer various promotions to attract new residents or retain existing ones, such as:
Reduced Lot Rent for a Limited Period: A common incentive for new residents.
Move-in Incentives: Such as waived application fees or contributions towards moving costs.

However, given the reported communication issues (phone numbers going to full voicemails, inability to reach staff), it would be very challenging for interested parties to inquire about or access any potential promotions. The office is also reportedly unstaffed during advertised office hours. Prospective residents should be aware of these communication challenges and exercise due diligence.
Based on the limited positive information and the significant negative feedback from customer reviews, it is challenging to highlight why Vermillion Mobile Home Park would be broadly suitable for locals in Illinois. The primary potential suitability stems from its location in Pontiac, IL, which offers a small-town environment with access to local amenities and a sense of community typical of such towns. For individuals or families who are specifically seeking mobile home living in the Pontiac area, and for whom the affordability aspect of owning a manufactured home while leasing a lot is a primary consideration, it might be a potential option to explore.
However, the extensive and consistent negative feedback regarding management responsiveness, communication issues (unreachable phone, full voicemail, unstaffed office), billing problems, and difficulties with deposit refunds are critical factors that prospective residents in Illinois must consider. A professional and reliable management team is crucial for a positive living experience in any residential community. While the idea of a mobile home park offers an alternative housing solution, the reported challenges with Vermillion Mobile Home Park's management indicate a potentially difficult experience for residents. Therefore, for locals considering this option, it is imperative to conduct extremely thorough research, attempt to verify current management presence and responsiveness, and ideally speak with existing residents if possible, before making any commitments. The suitability for locals would hinge entirely on a significant improvement in the management and operational aspects that have been criticized in public reviews.
Customer Reviews
No one is ever in the office @ those office times. The phone number (815) 842- 2011 goes straight to voicemail and says you are dialing an extension and voice mail box is full. Can’t get ahold of anyone who works here to help with billing issues to where I paid double for this month’s lot rent. The “new” manager on site, apparently doesn’t work for them anymore and haven’t been informed who the new manager is. Did I mention the phone doesn’t work??
This company is awful, I moved out in June and still have not received my deposit refund . I left immaculate and lived in a brand new unit and left it looking brand new . If you plan on getting your refund consider this review before renting from this company . They also raised my rent before my lease was even up . Not very professional . Left numerous messages on voicemail with no return phone call , also speaking with someone at the main office but that’s not going anywhere either . What a disappointment .
Prices are getting crazy high but the new management keeps the place looking nice. Seriously though, with the money you spend on the lot rent, you could literally buy your own house with. Don't do it.
Old trailer park. Lots of room for improvement.
Nice place to live and raise kids! Convenient work location for myself. I love all the cleaning up of the park that has been going on! The only thing I don't like is that rent keeps going up and I have to pay more than my mother and son that live in the same size trailer and they have a much bigger yard and nicer trailer than I do! Love the people but can't wait to move!
