Alpine Meadows About
For many Michigan residents, finding a housing solution that combines affordability with a desirable lifestyle, complete with amenities and a sense of community, is a top priority. Alpine Meadows, a manufactured home community located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, aims to offer just that. Situated in a prime West Michigan location, Alpine Meadows presents itself as a potential destination for individuals and families seeking modern, comfortable living. This article will provide a detailed overview of Alpine Meadows, exploring its location, services, appealing features, and overall suitability for Michigan locals looking for a place to call home.
Alpine Meadows is part of a growing trend in manufactured housing communities that prioritize resident experience, moving far beyond older perceptions of mobile home parks. As a community featuring homes from reputable builders like Champion Homes, Alpine Meadows often offers properties with contemporary designs and efficiencies. However, it's essential to address resident feedback to provide a balanced perspective. Some reviews highlight significant concerns regarding management, property upkeep, and lot rent increases. One past resident stated, "I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! I lived here about 3 years and do not have 1 good thing to say about the staff/management, very unhelpful, unfair and rude." This individual also noted issues with trying to sell their home, claiming they were told their "home was probably in the top 5 nicest looking trailers in the park and they told me that i was not able to sell it in the condition it was in." Another review echoed concerns about management being "missing" and the "court is going slum," with lot rent reportedly higher than a mortgage, taxes, and insurance on a three-bedroom house on an acre of land, and issues with privacy and restrictions on home improvements.
Despite these negative experiences, it is important to note that manufactured housing communities often evolve, and direct communication with current management and a visit to the property are always recommended to form your own informed opinion. Websites for Alpine Meadows, managed by Sun Communities, emphasize a family-friendly haven with impressive amenities, suggesting a commitment to a positive resident experience.

Customer Reviews
I don't actually live there, and wouldn't recommend it either. I have a friend that seems to be constantly harassed about little nit pick things and it's feeling intrusive. The trailer is one of the nicer ones in the park, yet the trashy trailers stay in run down conditions. The lease started out low, but continually go's up every year. Lot rent is higher than my mortgage plus taxes and insurance on a three bedroom house on an acre of land. Not a financially good choice if you want to own your own. That's my take. Privacy is another issue. Good fences make good neighbors. You aren't allowed to improve without permission from the office. So if you have trashy or a creeper next door you get that for the duration. This might work for people that don't give a care. But you've been warned. Good luck.
I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! I lived here about 3 years and do not have 1 good thing to say about the staff/management, very unhelpful, unfair and rude. They definitely play favorites with the residents. I owned my trailer and they made it a nightmare trying to sell it...my home was probably in the top 5 nicest looking trailers in the park and they told me that i was not able to sell it in the condition it was in, it was absolutely insane to me given the conditions of 95% of the other trailers in the park. This is just 1 of several unpleasant experiences i have encountered with the staff. 100% do not recommend. In response to the response I got...I gave the park several notices that I was selling my trailer so they could come see if they wanted to offer me a price/inspect it but was completely ignored on every occasion, so I went ahead and sold it and that is when they finally made it an issue, this is not a me issue, this is a park staff/management issue. And no they absolutely did not offer reasonable resources to address the issues.
Was driving around the park visiting a friend and came across 3799 Casper. Can't believe the park let's people have all that trash on the lawn. Those owners don't care about their neighbors or anyone. Feel bad for their kids. You know the inside is just toast. Find another park.
*Update 2025: I would love to say it's gotten better. It has not. Again, like every year, they say they left a notice to mow when they have not and then force you to pay for their mowing service. You call the office and they are the most unhelpful group if people I've ever met. No empathy and lie out their behind to get more money out of you. They go through office staff like it's going out of style. With how unhelpful they are, it's no wonder. If I could give negative stars I would. This is how they treat long term tenants. 10 years here, paid on time every month and it's been the worst the last 2 years. I will never recommend this place. *update Aug. 2023. Still no better. Claims new office staff and maintenance staff and they're still trying to charge me for things that are not my own. You call them to figure it out and they play stupid and laugh on the phone like it's a big joke. They charge $55 to mow even if you did it yourself and they messed up and put the wrong lot down. They offered me a 1 time courtesy for THEIR MISTAKE. It shouldn't be this hard with how much we pay to live here. The rent goes up at least $40 -$50 a year and that's "fair market value" yet the park itself gets worse by the year. At least we have that nice new clubhouse...... 😒 If I could 0 stars, it would still be too much. Lot rent up AGAIN and NOTHING has gotten better. They didn't plow AT ALL this past snow storm. They harass their on time paying clients but the ones who create problems are given a free pass. I have already contacted the BBB on the office staff in the past. DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE. Run far and run fast.
I own my mobile but the rent is still outrageous 4A mobile Court. Rent is cheaper at other mobile courts. Every year it's raised $35 to $40 or so. I'm old ,so I'm trying to find a senior place to live that the rent depends on your income.
