Amnicon Falls Campground is located at Wentworth, WI 54874, USA, situated within Amnicon Falls State Park. This prime location places it in the beautiful northern reaches of Wisconsin, specifically in Douglas County. For Wisconsin residents, its accessibility is quite good; it's a relatively short drive from larger cities like Superior (approximately 11 miles away) and within easy reach from other parts of Northern Wisconsin. While it offers a feeling of being immersed in nature, it's not so remote that getting there becomes a challenge.

The campground's direct proximity to the Amnicon River and its famous series of waterfalls is a major draw. Campers are within easy walking distance of these natural wonders, making waterfall viewing, hiking, and exploring the unique geological formations incredibly convenient. The park's entrance is well-marked, and the internal roads to the campground are paved, ensuring a smooth arrival for both tents and RVs.

Being located within a Wisconsin State Park means it benefits from state park infrastructure, such as well-maintained trails and clear signage. For locals, this means less time spent on travel and more time enjoying the spectacular scenery and outdoor activities right outside their tent or RV door. The surrounding area offers other local services in nearby towns like Poplar (5 miles), Lake Nebagamon (12 miles), and Brule (16 miles) for gas, supplies, and restaurants, providing a convenient balance for a rustic experience without being entirely off-grid for essentials.

As a Wisconsin State Park campground, Amnicon Falls typically operates under the Wisconsin DNR's reservation system. While specific "promotions or special offers" in the traditional commercial sense are not usually advertised, the consistent pricing structure of state park camping offers excellent value for the experience provided. The primary "offer" is access to a pristine natural environment at a standardized rate, which is often more affordable than private campgrounds, especially considering the unparalleled access to the park's natural wonders.

For Wisconsin residents, purchasing an annual State Park Pass can be a significant cost-saving measure if you plan to visit Amnicon Falls or other state parks multiple times throughout the year. This pass covers vehicle entry fees, making each camping trip more economical. Furthermore, while the campground itself doesn't allow generators, remember that you are paying for the peace and quiet and the immersive natural experience. Any specific deals for off-peak seasons or extended stays would typically be managed through the Wisconsin DNR reservation system. It's always a good idea to check the Wisconsin DNR website or call the park office for the most up-to-date information on fees, reservation windows, and any potential group rates.

If you are from out of State I would not stay here. It is a lot of money to stay at this rustic campsite. Flys where bad in the outhouse, and you can't use your generator.

The campsites are very nice. We showed up when there were a ton of bugs, but that is to be expected when camping.
