Customer Reviews
Pat, the park manager, is AMAZING. I was just passing through, and I was at a nearby campground, but they didn't fit me, and their power was bad, causing my surge protector to just turn off. I called, and Pat picked up ON EASTER, and after 5 pm. Gave me directions, and when I got there, they showed me my spot personally. While this campground is closer to the highway, the noise isn't bad. I couldn't really hear it with my AC on. Power was great, solid 120v. Cell service is great here, too. I had a 40ft 5th wheel, truck and my wife's car and we fit in the pull through spots. Very well reasonably priced.
Awesome place very welcoming. Gated Park makes it very safe. Never had any problems with anyone. The manager and husband are very nice and the park is in a convenient location near several fast food places and a dollar general along with a market basket. Very clean shower houses and laundry facilities, all equipment in laundry facility works well. Extremely pet friendly the park has an impromptu dog walk field in the back we used regularly. I would recommend the Park to anyone
Bender Oaks I'm sure was a very nice RV park before the hurricanes ripped through there last year. They are still trying to recover and rebuild. Easy to get to and hook up. But the roads are a mess and the shower house need work. We stayed there because we wanted to go to Delta Downs, if you are in an RV, you can park at the Racetrack, we did not know that. Hopefully they can get the park back to what it once was.
Nice, clean, RV park. Amenities include pull-through and back in spaces, dumpster, privacy gate with provided remote, wi-fi throughout park, electricity, cable tv, washer and dryers, and showers. All included in park fee. Resident Manager is very friendly, personable and knowledgeable about local points of interest. There are various restaurants, Dollar Store, gas stations, churches, and limited shopping venues. There really is nothing for little children. No pool but I have seen little children playing with a water hose. So it is manageable depending on what your needs are. There is a Med Center in Sulphur if you need one. There are photos already posted online. There are a lot of local shops in Sulphur. We really loved the hand made items.
Not big rig friendly - super tight corners to negotiate just getting in through the gate. VERY swampy and muddy! Mosquitoes ate us alive every time we stepped out of our rig. Also not dog friendly - there is a "field" you can take your dog to, but it's terribly overgrown and muddy too.
