Promotions or Special Offers

As a state park campground, BlueJay operates under the pricing and reservation policies set by Oklahoma State Parks. Therefore, specific "promotions or special offers" in the traditional sense (like discounts for a limited time) are uncommon for state park campgrounds. Their rates are typically standardized and reflect the value of the amenities and location they provide.

However, visitors can often find "value" in other ways:

  • Affordable Rates: State park camping rates are generally more budget-friendly compared to private campgrounds or luxury cabins, making quality outdoor experiences accessible to a wider range of Oklahomans.
  • Seasonal Pricing: While not a "promotion," rates might vary slightly between peak season (e.g., summer, fall foliage) and off-peak times. Booking during less crowded periods can sometimes offer a more economical stay.
  • Senior or Disabled Discounts: Oklahoma State Parks may offer discounts for seniors, disabled individuals, or veterans on daily camping fees. It is always recommended to inquire about such possibilities when making a reservation.
  • Group Rates: For larger groups, there might be specific group camping areas or policies that offer a different rate structure, though BlueJay appears to be for individual tent sites.

So peaceful!! I really loved this campsite! It had everything you’d wish for camping by a lake in the forest. I took several images of the campgrounds (check it out). The outhouse was clean and a short walk from the grounds. Each ground had a fire pit, grill, lamp pole, and tent site. Not all sites are directly approachable by car, but it’s close to park next to the tent site. Lovely spot with amazing views.

Campsite 4 was very nice. The lowest and perhaps the most accessible in the Bluejay circle as the others require transversing a steap drive. Also, in shade for much of the afternoon and plenty of proper space from the light pole for the compost toilet just a quick walk away. Lastly, I believe all the gravel tent spots were 13’ x 13’ and this one could easily accommodate our larger tent size, but other folks in our group had to pitch outside of the gravel tent area due to that smaller footprint..

Absolutely beautiful camping spot! We stayed at B11 tent camping and loved it. We were right above the water and a short walk down to swim and fish. It was quiet and secluded. Camp sites were well spaced apart. This was a 7hr drive for us, but we’ll definitely be making the trip back.
