Bonnaroo VIP Camping About
For us Tennesseans who live for the unparalleled energy of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, the experience is truly a pilgrimage. While the entire festival is legendary, for those seeking to maximize their comfort and convenience, Bonnaroo VIP Camping in Manchester, TN, offers an elevated way to enjoy the magic. It's not just a campsite; it's a strategic hub designed to enhance every aspect of your festival journey, allowing you to focus more on the music and less on the logistics.
Bonnaroo is a cornerstone of Tennessee's cultural calendar, drawing thousands to our state for an unforgettable celebration of music, art, and community. Bonnaroo VIP Camping takes this experience to the next level, offering a suite of exclusive perks that seasoned festival-goers often highlight as essential. Our local community agrees, with reviews consistently emphasizing the significant advantages. One long-time VIP attendee, a "12th year in VIP," calls it "definitely worth it" if you can afford it, highlighting the "proximity to the festival stages in Centeroo" as the "primary advantage." The ability to "walk in and out all day through the VIP entrance" with "short lines" is a game-changer. Other major benefits include "air conditioned tents in the VIP camping area and Centeroo," "free trailer showers," and "larger" campsites. Plus, who can argue with "free device charging" and "unlimited free beer for a few hours on Thursday night at the welcome party"? While there's always room for improvement, as one reviewer noted regarding the food program or the number of bathrooms at peak times, the consensus is clear: "If your going to do Bonnaroo... VIP camping is the way to go." It’s about making your Bonnaroo unforgettable, with unparalleled access, time, and convenience, right here in Tennessee.
Bonnaroo VIP Camping is strategically located at 786 New Bushy Branch Rd, Manchester, TN 37355, USA. This address places it directly adjacent to the iconic Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival grounds, making "proximity to the festival stages in Centeroo" its absolute prime advantage.
For us Tennesseans, arriving at Bonnaroo is often part of the adventure, but VIP status significantly streamlines this process. The VIP only entrance bypasses the notorious traffic congestion. As one reviewer aptly puts it, you can "enjoy driving past the GA line on my way to the VIP entrance," contrasting sharply with the "10-12 mile GA admission line that forms on I24 every year." This means quicker entry into the festival grounds, allowing you to set up camp and start enjoying the "Roo" experience sooner. Manchester, TN, itself is easily accessible from major Tennessee cities: approximately an hour's drive southeast from Nashville via I-24, and about an hour and a half northwest from Chattanooga via I-24. Even from Knoxville, the journey is manageable, typically around two and a half to three hours. The VIP camping area is so close to the main stages that campers can "often listen to sets on the What stage at my campsite while resting up for the afternoon or night to come." This unparalleled access and ease of entry are crucial for maximizing your time and enjoyment at the festival, truly making it an accessible and stress-free experience for locals and visitors alike.
Bonnaroo VIP Camping is designed to provide a significantly enhanced festival experience, offering a range of premium services that go beyond standard general admission camping. Based on customer reviews, here's a detailed look at what VIP campers can expect:
- Exclusive Entrances: A dedicated VIP-only entrance ensures much quicker and easier access to the festival grounds (Centeroo) compared to the general admission lines.
- Prime Campsite Location: VIP campsites are located "very close to the main stage" and other festival areas, allowing for easy walk-in/walk-out access throughout the day.
- Larger Campsites: VIP campsites are generally "a little larger than general admission" sites, providing more space for your setup.
- Air-Conditioned Tents: Access to air-conditioned tents in the VIP camping area provides a crucial escape from the Tennessee heat and humidity, offering a cool place to rest and recharge.
- Air-Conditioned Bathrooms: Clean and comfortable VIP trailer bathrooms are a major perk, often air-conditioned and significantly cleaner with shorter lines than general admission facilities.
- Free Trailer Showers: Unlimited free access to trailer showers is a highly valued amenity, offering a comfortable and convenient way to freshen up.
- Free Device Charging: Ability to "charge devices for free too without the hassle that you go through to find an outlet in Centeroo," providing essential connectivity.
- VIP Viewing Areas: Exclusive viewing areas at key stages like the What and Which stages, offering "great views" of performances.
- VIP Hospitality Tent: Access to a VIP hospitality tent, primarily offering shade and air conditioning, serving as a comfortable lounge area.
- Welcome Party (Thursday): Includes "unlimited free beer for a few hours on Thursday night" at a welcome party, setting a festive tone for the weekend.
- Optional VIP Food Program: An additional, paid food program offers healthier options compared to typical festival fare, although the variety might vary year to year.
- Exceptional Staff: "VIP staff like all Bonnaroo staff are exceptional," described as "happy to help you and excited to help you have a great Bonnaroo."
These services collectively aim to provide a more comfortable, convenient, and premium festival experience for VIP attendees.
The true highlights of Bonnaroo VIP Camping revolve around comfort, convenience, and privileged access, fundamentally transforming the festival experience for attendees. These are the aspects consistently praised by those who choose the VIP route:
- Unbeatable Proximity to Centeroo: This is the "primary advantage." Being able to "walk in and out all day through the VIP entrance" with "short lines" allows for seamless transitions between your campsite and the festival stages, maximizing time spent enjoying music and minimizing travel hassle.
- Climate-Controlled Comfort: Access to "air conditioned tents in the VIP camping area and Centeroo" is a life-saver, offering a cool sanctuary from the hot Tennessee sun, allowing for crucial rest and re-energizing.
- Superior Restroom and Shower Facilities: The "VIP trailer showers are free and a definite perk," and the "VIP trailer bathrooms are clean and comfortable," providing a much more pleasant experience than general admission options, even if lines can still form at peak times.
- Faster Festival Entry: The dedicated VIP entrance significantly reduces wait times, allowing VIP campers to bypass the often "10-12 mile GA admission line that forms on I24 every year." This means more time inside the festival and less time stuck in traffic.
- Dedicated Viewing Areas: Exclusive viewing areas at major stages offer "great views," providing a better vantage point for enjoying performances without battling large crowds.
- Convenient Device Charging: Free and hassle-free device charging ensures you stay connected and can capture all your Bonnaroo memories without searching for scarce outlets.
- Enhanced Campsite Space: Slightly "larger" campsites provide more room to spread out and create a comfortable personal space within the VIP area.
- Exclusive Welcome Party Perk: The "unlimited free beer for a few hours on Thursday night at the welcome party" is a delightful bonus, setting a festive tone right from arrival.
- Helpful and Enthusiastic Staff: The "exceptional" VIP staff contribute significantly to the positive experience, always ready to assist and ensure guests have a great time.
These features collectively create a premium and highly desirable festival experience, making the investment in Bonnaroo VIP Camping truly "worth it" for many attendees.
Bonnaroo VIP Camping is itself a premium offering, and its "promotions" are typically integrated into the festival's overall ticketing tiers rather than separate discount codes. However, there are aspects that function as special offers or added value:
- All-Inclusive VIP Package: The core "promotion" is the VIP ticket package itself, which bundles all the exclusive services and features mentioned above into a single purchase. This includes expedited entry, premium camping, enhanced facilities, and exclusive access.
- Early Bird Pricing: Historically, Bonnaroo (including VIP tickets) often offers tiered pricing, with lower prices for "early bird" purchasers. This encourages fans to commit early and can be seen as a direct financial incentive.
- Payment Plans: Bonnaroo typically offers payment plans for tickets, including VIP, allowing attendees to spread the cost over several months. This makes the VIP experience more financially accessible.
- Specific Perks (e.g., Free Beer): The "unlimited free beer for a few hours on Thursday night at the welcome party" is a direct perk that acts as a special offer for VIP guests upon arrival.
- Healthy Food Option (Paid): While the VIP food program requires an extra cost, it is framed as a healthier alternative to typical festival food, offering a value proposition for those prioritizing dietary needs.

While the entire experience is magical, Bonnaroo VIP Camping offers an unparalleled way for locals to enjoy this iconic event with maximum comfort and convenience. We know the heat, we know the lines, and we know how valuable every moment at Centeroo is. VIP camping directly addresses these familiar challenges, transforming what can be a grueling four days into a genuinely relaxed and enjoyable experience.
The ability to "walk in and out all day" through a dedicated entrance means more time seeing our favorite artists and less time enduring long walks or waiting in queues. The "air conditioned tents" and "free trailer showers" are not just luxuries; they are game-changers for maintaining comfort and energy throughout the festival, allowing us to truly recharge and return to the music refreshed. The "larger" campsites give us more space to spread out and create our own little oasis, while the "free device charging" keeps us connected to friends and family. Even driving past the "10-12 mile GA admission line" is, as one reviewer put it, "truth" – a small but significant perk that makes arrival smoother. While the VIP vibe might be "a little more individual and less community" than in the general admission pods, the trade-off in access, time, and convenience is undeniably "worth it" for many. For any Tennessee local considering a Bonnaroo trip, especially those who appreciate comfort, efficiency, and a truly elevated festival experience, Bonnaroo VIP Camping is the definitive choice. It's an investment in making our beloved Bonnaroo the best it can possibly be.
Customer Reviews
The Bonnaroo VIP experience is good but could be better. In my opinion, the primary advantage of buying VIP is the proximity to the festival stages in Centeroo. You can pretty much walk in and out all day through the VIP entrance. This makes it very easy to see shows and go back to the tent to rest. Lines at the VIP entrance are short and camping is very close to the main stage. I often listen to sets on the What stage at my campsite while resting up for the afternoon or night to come. Additional advantages are the air conditioned tents in the VIP camping area and centeroo and the viewing area at the What and Which stages. They aren't extremely close to the stage but they get you great views. VIP trailer showers are free and a definite perk. Camp sites are a little larger than general admission. Oh you can charge devices for free too without the hassle that you go through to find an outlet in Centeroo. The VIP only entrance makes getting into the festival easier and is much quicker than the 10-12 mile GA admission line that forms on I24 every year. How much that line matters depends on when you arrive at the festival. For me, I arrive late Thursday so it matters less now but at my first few Roos I arrived earler and enjoyed driving past the GA line on my way to the VIP entrance. (That's not a very Bonnaroovian thing to say but it's truth.) The VIP trailer bathrooms are clean and comfortable but there could be more of them. I also ask myself why they added running water in Centeroo for bathrooms but not in VIP. At peak times the VIP trailer bathrooms have lines but nothing like in GA and they are almost always clean. The VIP hospitality tent had fewer amenities and seemingly less seating this year then the past but the big draw of course is shade and the AC. The VIP food program, which you pay extra to use, was disappointing this year. The food was okay but there were fewer options and it didn't seem to be worth the cost. Still it was a healthy option compared to typical fried festival food. VIP staff like all Bonnaroo staff are exceptional. They are happy to help you and excited to help you have a great Bonnaroo. I would add that the vibe in VIP is a little more individual and less community than in the pods/plazas. Folks seem to keep to themselves more but do socialize. I just think less than in GA. There also seems to be less activity in the central VIP plaza then in GA pods. The emphasis has been on adding to the GA experience and it seems VIP has been left as status quo. That's my feeling on 2018 compared to previous years and this was my 12th year in VIP. With all this said if you can afford VIP it's definitely worth it. You are close to the festival. You have shade and available in multiple tents. You can charge your devices for free and there is unlimited free beer for a few hours on Thursday night at the welcome party. Budget for it and feel the difference it brings.
If your going to do Bonnaroo. I have to say VIP camping is the way to go. If you can do it. I would do VIP. You can't beat the access, time and convenience of being right there. For the money. I think it's a hit.
Exit 111 festival was amazing!! I'm not a huge fan of Bonnaroo, though.
This place doesn't appear to exist anymore, huge fence's closing off the gates no one around anyplace.
The location is convenient and the Roo team is responsive with issues with the restrooms and showers but honestly the AC seems pretty pointless because the tent has absolutely no insulation so the AC runs constantly and doesn’t make any difference… particularly in nearly 100 degree heat
