Customer Reviews
We stayed for 3 nights and we're very pleased! originally I was posted at site 68 directly across from the bathrooms, but that area is pretty open to the sun, and there's a light at the end of the lot that shines down onto pad 68. For me that was not preferred so I moved down a few spots to pad 70 and stayed along the tree line in my tent, which stayed shaded all day long. pad 71 across from 70 also looks very shaded and the fire ring access is close by. Pad 71 is still fairly open in the sun for the picnic/fire ring but the pad site is large and can easily put up a Canopy or something similar to help with shade. there's also electric and water at site 70. The showers are on a timer but the water is hot, the shower head can feel a bit rough at first. There's firewood bundles on site for sale for $7 or there's a place down the road right before the entrance to the campgrounds that also sells firewood ranging from $3-$10. we took a 20 minute drive to Racine had dinner and walked the shore line, checked out some lighthouses, enjoyed the scenery. There's stores very close by so if you need anything it's easily accessible. over all great experience!
Spacious. Each camp site was extremely spacious and all grass. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The showers were really nice. They had space to move around, a bench to set things on and sit to get dressed and they had provided a seat for those with extra needs to sit on while showering. You simply come into your site, set up and take down at the appropriate times and really no-one bothered us at all. It was such a relaxed experience and would definitely suggest anyone stay there. I admit that the processing online to book the campground was extremely steep. For our two night stay it was $12 processing fee but the cost of staying there and having not only electric but also water on each site was awesome.
I love this park area. It's very spacious and clean. The campground looked nice but I didn't use the area. I used one of the private areas for a party. The area was great for the park I was having. I was able to build a field day track of 100 yards, a bouncy house, a DJ, a cooking area, a food tent, and a volleyball area set up. We had plenty of space. I will be renting this area again.
We tent camped here this past weekend for the Harley Davidson festival, and everything was great! The showers were clean and worked well, the water did not have a smell or taste, and the grounds were kept up. We camped at site 41, and it was fairly level and clean/clear of debris on the pad and grass area. Each site comes with a fire pit, and they have wood you can purchase. We'll camp here again if we attend the fest next year!
Really a nice stop. Despite the name we didn’t see any cliffs. It isn’t a “destination” spot but it is a pleasant campground. The facilities, including bathrooms, are nice, clean and well maintained. Site 31 was level and easy to park and depart. Sites were spaced out so we didn’t feel like we were on top of other people. The majority of sites seemed level. It was a park like setting with mowed grass. We were there mid May so the trees weren’t quite all leafed out. We stopped here on our 1st night after picking up our new 30ft trailer. We were looking for a place that would allow us very few headaches and the ability to finish moving into the unit. It exceeded our expectations and we will use it again as a 1 or 2 night stop as we travel from Minnesota to other destinations or visit family. It is relatively close, within 5-10 minutes, to some amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants. Despite the proximity to towns, it was still pretty quiet. There are trains that go by. The dump station was near the entrance, though we didn’t make use of it.
