Corner Lot RV Park About

For RVers exploring the vast landscapes of Texas, particularly the charming small towns of West Texas, finding a practical and accessible spot for their recreational vehicle is often a top priority. Corner Lot RV Park in Knox City offers a straightforward and convenient option for those seeking a place to park their RV, whether for a short visit or a more extended stay. While it may not be a sprawling resort, its central location and focus on essential services make it a functional choice for travelers and those connected to the local community.

Knox City, like many Texas towns, has a unique character, and its local services cater to the needs of its residents and visitors. Corner Lot RV Park, positioned as it is "close to the corner" of a neighborhood, likely appeals to those who appreciate a quiet, residential setting. While public information about the park is somewhat limited, and one review highlighted a negative personal interaction with someone connected to the property, the fundamental offering of an RV park in a convenient town location remains its core value. For Texans visiting family, working in the area, or just needing a no-frills place to hook up, Corner Lot RV Park provides a direct solution for their RV accommodation needs.

Location and Accessibility

Corner Lot RV Park is located at 1100 S E 3rd St, Knox City, TX 79529, USA. Knox City is situated in Knox County, Texas, offering a classic small-town experience in the northwestern part of the state. The park's address on South East 3rd Street suggests it's integrated into a residential area, which can contribute to a quieter, more local atmosphere compared to parks directly on major highways.

Knox City is accessible via State Highways 6 and 22, and Farm Road 143, making it reasonably easy to reach for those traveling through this part of Texas. While it's not on an interstate, these state routes provide good connectivity to larger regional centers. For daily needs, Knox City offers local amenities such as grocery stores, a few small restaurants, and essential services that cater to its community. For more extensive shopping, dining, or specialized services, larger towns and cities like Vernon (approximately 40 miles north), Haskell (around 16 miles south), or Abilene (roughly an hour's drive south) are within a reasonable commute. These larger centers provide a wider array of options for entertainment, healthcare, and retail. Locally, Knox City embraces its agricultural roots, and visitors might find community events or historical markers that tell the story of this Texas town. The park's location in a residential setting means convenient access to local life, including proximity to residents' family and friends, as noted in a review.

Services Offered

As a compact RV park, Corner Lot RV Park is expected to provide the fundamental services necessary for a comfortable RV stay. While detailed lists of amenities are not widely available in public information, the core offerings for such a park typically include:

  • Full Hookups: It is standard for RV parks to offer full utility hookups at each site, encompassing water, sewer, and electrical connections (likely including 30-amp and 50-amp options). This allows RVers to fully operate their vehicles' systems.
  • Dedicated RV Parking Spaces: The park provides specific spots designed for RV parking.
  • Waste Management: Proper waste disposal facilities, such as a trash dumpster, would be available to maintain cleanliness.

Given the description of it being "not a very big lot," it is likely that on-site shared facilities like bathhouses, laundromats, or common recreational areas are limited or non-existent. Guests should plan to be self-sufficient within their RVs for these needs.

Features / Highlights

The features of Corner Lot RV Park, as gathered from available information, paint a picture of a practical, no-frills option.

  • Compact and Local Setting: The park is described as "not a very big lot," which suggests a smaller, more intimate setting. Its residential location means it's integrated into the local community, potentially offering a more authentic small-town experience for visitors.
  • Convenient for Visiting Locals: For individuals with family or friends living nearby, the park's location "across the street" from residential homes makes it an extremely convenient place to stay, allowing easy access for visits and daily interactions.
  • Essential Functionality: The park serves its primary purpose of providing a spot for RVs with necessary hookups, catering to those who prioritize basic utility over extensive amenities.

It is important to acknowledge a review that described a negative interaction, citing "not very hospitable" behavior from an individual associated with the property. This particular experience suggests that while the park offers practical utility, the level of hospitality or direct management interaction might vary. Prospective visitors should keep this in mind and manage their expectations regarding on-site customer service.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a smaller, more functional RV park, Corner Lot RV Park is unlikely to offer frequent, publicized promotions in the way larger, resort-style campgrounds might. Its "special offers" would typically revolve around its pricing structure and utility for long-term or specific needs.

  • Competitive Rates for Utility: The primary "promotion" is likely to be competitive daily, weekly, or monthly rates for a full-hookup RV spot in a convenient small-town location.
  • Long-Term Stay Potential: For those needing an extended stay in Knox City, the park likely offers attractive rates for longer commitments, which is a common value proposition for parks catering to residents or temporary workers.

Since specific deals are not publicly available, it is recommended to directly contact Corner Lot RV Park using the provided phone numbers to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential discounts for extended stays. A direct conversation can clarify what is available and at what cost.

There use to be a house there and it's not a very big lot, and my mother lives across the street and we had to park close to the corner of this rv park, and a man in a truck, while we were outside pulled up to the empty lot and looked at us hateful and then sped away. I may not have been a customer, but thought that was not very hospitable. And I will go by that. Thanks.
