It's a place where you can witness growth and potential, all while enjoying the attentive service of an owner dedicated to making your stay comfortable.

Country Line Creek Campground is characterized by its ongoing development and a clear vision for the future. Even "still under construction," it already presents "lots of potential" with its foundational offerings. It's a place that appeals to those who appreciate a more natural, less commercialized camping environment, where the focus is on practical amenities and a friendly atmosphere. While some aspects might be a "mixed bag" as it evolves, the owner's dedication, described as "trying really hard to do it all on his own," shines through in his attentiveness and willingness to assist campers. This makes for a personalized camping experience that larger, more established campgrounds might not offer. Its proximity to major event venues also makes it a strategic choice for many North Carolina residents.

Location and Accessibility

Country Line Creek Campground is conveniently located at 540 NC-57, Milton, NC 27305, USA. This address places it within a strategically advantageous area for various reasons, making it an appealing choice for North Carolina residents. Milton, while a smaller community, offers a tranquil backdrop for a camping experience, yet provides excellent accessibility to key regional attractions.

One of the most significant draws of this campground's location is its close proximity to the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). As highlighted by customer reviews, the campground is a mere "3 mins away" from VIR, making it an incredibly convenient base for attendees of events like Hyperfest. This close access means minimal travel time to and from the raceway, allowing visitors to maximize their enjoyment of races, car shows, or other events without the hassle of long commutes or battling heavy traffic. For motorsports enthusiasts or those attending related events, this location is a major "pro."

Beyond VIR, the campground's setting along NC-57 provides straightforward access to nearby towns and cities for supplies, dining, or further exploration. While the immediate surroundings offer a rustic feel, the ease of reaching essential services is a practical benefit. Furthermore, the area around Milton, and indeed this specific site, holds historical significance. The mention of "plenty of revolutionary war history here with cannonballs found on site" adds a unique layer of intrigue and educational opportunity for campers interested in American history. This historical aspect can transform a simple camping trip into an enriching journey through the past. The natural surroundings, including "a creek to check out," also contribute to the overall appeal, offering opportunities for exploration and connection with nature, even within the context of a developing campground. The blend of historical depth, natural beauty, and extreme convenience to a major regional attraction makes Country Line Creek Campground's location particularly suitable for North Carolina locals looking for diverse experiences.

Services Offered

As an "up and coming campground" that is "still under construction," Country Line Creek Campground focuses on providing essential services while continually developing its offerings. Based on customer feedback, the current services include:

  • Water Hookups: Each site provides access to water, a fundamental utility for any RV or tent camper.
  • Electrical Hookups: Sites are equipped with electrical hookups, catering to both RVs and campers needing power for their devices and comfort.
  • Fairly Level Spots: The campground offers "fairly level spots," which is a significant convenience for setting up RVs or tents, ensuring a more comfortable stay.
  • Portable Tank Service (for non-sewer sites): For areas without direct sewer hookups, the owner "took care of us portable tank," demonstrating a commitment to ensuring waste disposal needs are met. This personalized service highlights the owner's attentiveness.
  • Owner Attentiveness and Helpfulness: The owner, David, is consistently praised for being "super attentive and helpful the whole weekend," indicating a high level of customer service and willingness to assist campers with their needs.

It is important for prospective campers to note that, as a developing campground, certain amenities commonly found in more established parks, such as a dedicated bathhouse or laundry facilities, were not observed by reviewers. The focus here is on fundamental hookups and personalized service, appealing to campers with self-contained units or those comfortable utilizing nearby external facilities. The "mixed bag" aspect suggests that some areas may have full hookups (water, electric, sewer), while others might require the portable tank service for sewer, reflecting the ongoing development.

  • Suitable for Longer-Term Campers: While not exclusively, the campground appears to cater to "mostly longer term campers living there," suggesting an environment conducive to extended stays and a potential community feel.

It's important for prospective visitors to understand that while it's developing, some areas might still be "overgrown and not being used," indicating a more rustic and less manicured experience in parts. Great up and coming campground! David was able to work us in before opening. It's still under construction, but lots of potential here. With water and electrical hookups, as well as fairly level spots, we were able to find a nice quiet place to camp with the kids while we attended hyperfest at Virginia international raceway. David was super attentive and helpful the whole weekend. Their is a nice short trail in the woods, a creek to check out, and plenty of revolutionary war history here with cannonballs found on site.

Owner is trying really hard to do it all on his own. We didn’t really know what to expect. It was a mixed bag. No sewer where we were up front, but he took care of us portable tank. He had our friends drive their large rig down to another spot to empty after waiting for a while on what to do. Appears mostly longer term campers living there. Small, but from other websites maybe there is a second section that was overgrown and not being used on the other road. No bathhouse I could see. We were near the road on an event weekend so wasn’t the quietest, but our air running made it fine. We stayed for VIR event and that was the largest pro- 3 mins away!

So we stayed during BRRF which was an absolute disaster, but David made our stay the best. He was consistently checking up on us. When the VIR bombed the show, he went out of his way to try and cheer us on. He made sure his campers, vendors, and people were very well taken care of. He even installed showers the week before the show just to make sure his people had access to hot water. He is still very new. It shows in the camp spaces with the freshly dug water trenches which did make the place muddy in those areas. Our truck did get stuck. I don't believe it will be a long lasting issue. He has the drive to continuously improve his space and I'm sure by this time next year he will have everything ironed out to be a wonderful place to stay. Thank you David for taking care of us.
