  • Small Trailer Rentals: A unique offering at Country Oaks RV Park is the availability of small trailers for rent. This service caters to individuals or couples looking for a longer-term, affordable living solution without owning an RV or mobile home. • Showers and Bathhouse: Access to showers and a bathhouse is available, providing essential facilities for campers and trailer residents. Reports suggest efforts are made to keep these areas clean.

  • Pet-Friendly Policy: Country Oaks RV Park is notably pet-friendly. Unlike many other rental places that have strict weight or breed restrictions for dogs, Country Oaks does not, making it an excellent option for pet owners. However, guests are expected to manage their pets responsibly.

  • Management Assistance: The management is often described as very nice and willing to work with residents, particularly regarding deposits and addressing maintenance issues, even if it takes some time for repairs to be completed.

  • Proximity to Calcasieu River Inlets: Being near small inlets of the Calcasieu River, the park offers opportunities for fishing, adding a recreational highlight for guests who enjoy angling or simply being close to nature.

  • Flexible Pet Policy: A standout feature is the park's relaxed pet policy, which does not impose breed or weight restrictions on dogs. This is a significant advantage for pet owners who often struggle to find suitable accommodations for their larger or specific breed pets.

It's important to note that while the park generally provides a pleasant experience, some reviews mention potential noise from nearby trains and occasional delays in maintenance. However, many residents adapt to these conditions, focusing on the park's positive attributes like friendly management and pet-friendly environment.

Promotions or Special Offers

Country Oaks RV Park, like many smaller, family-owned RV parks and mobile home communities, may not consistently advertise seasonal or discount promotions in the same way larger resorts do. However, their "special offers" often come in the form of their inherent operational policies and value propositions:

  • Flexible Deposit Policy: One notable "offer," as indicated by a past resident, is the willingness of management to "work with you on the deposit." This flexibility can be a significant benefit for new residents or those on a tighter budget, making it easier to secure a rental or site.

  • Affordable Long-Term Living: The availability of small trailers for rent, combined with competitive pricing for RV sites, suggests a focus on providing affordable long-term living solutions in the Lake Charles area. This continuous affordability is a strong "promotion" in itself, especially in areas where housing costs can be high.

  • Inclusive Pet Policy: The absence of breed or weight restrictions for dogs is a major "special offer" for pet owners. In a market where many rental properties have strict pet policies, Country Oaks RV Park's openness to all dogs provides a unique and valuable option for those with beloved large or restricted-breed pets.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates for RV sites (daily, weekly, monthly) and rental terms for the small trailers, including any specific long-term stay discounts or benefits, it is highly recommended to contact Country Oaks RV Park directly. Their friendly management is best equipped to discuss current pricing and any specific arrangements that might be available.

I rent one of the small trailers and It's not a bad place although trains come thru fairly often throughout the day and night. Where most places for rent have a weight or breed restriction for dogs, they do not. She is very nice and will work with you on the deposit. The only issue I've had is if something breaks or wears out it takes them awhile to get to it but they will get to it.

Train non stop all hours of the day and night. Three washers only two work. When you let the office know over three days in advance that you will be leaving to go to another job, you do not get your deposit back. Then get accused of cussing someone out when you never did. They tell you on the phone that it's a quiet place if you dont like quiet you wont like it here. It's not quiet music played half of the night most nights. You get begged for rides to walmart from people. Our tiny house had a couch they had to ask me if it was mine or theres, no microwave, (was told over a week ago would get one put in..never happened.) No bed just a twin size wood made bed frame. Ants everywhere and apparently not after sugar just electric. Would not recommend.

The lady who was in the office was very polite and friendly. The price was extremely reasonable. We stayed the night only, without incidence. However, I would only return if there were no other options. The only "overnight" spots, 3 of them, were right in the front, which was fine. But all 3 spots were flooded, and there was a very low hanging electrical wire that was right over the spots. The long term rv's were a bit dilapidated and there were a number of what appeared to be old fema trailors. The front of the camp was clean. Could not see the rest of the campground. There were trains a few times, but wasn't too bad. Other than that it was quiet, likely due to the heavy rains, so there wasn't any activity in the camp. I think if it was fixed up a bit the place would attract more campers, since it is an easy on and off the interstate. I wish the owners good luck.

I stayed at this park for over a year. The mail carrier kept sending my mail back, and I lost some money like that. The rates are low, but it's by the train tracks. They run day and night. The new owner ripped me off for 3 weeks rent when I left. They even want a $400 deposit now.

Dirty run down rv park. Laundry facilities have been broke for months and internet is terrible. Since this last review things have improved. Laundry is now open and a lot of the trash has been picked up around the campers. I'm pleased with what they have done to correct these issues. The internet is still terrible though.
