One of my favorite campgrounds in East Tennessee! This is a very cool place! Camp sites on the east side of the lake are well placed with woods around. The sites on the north side are good as well and I feel they’re made for longer campers. We’ve been here two times in May each year. You may want to rent a golf cart as we did. This allows you to get around the large campsite, to the swimming area and playgrounds. Lots of permanent RV sites around and they’re well kept. It’s fun to drive around and look at them. A pretty yummy food truck with the basics near the pavilion and playground. The camp store is well stocked with all your needs! Great place to stay! Will see you there soon :-) !
Stay away!! The bad reviews left since the new owners took over are all 100% accurate!! We needed an extended stay as we were moving from NJ to Tennessee and needed to live in the RV until we found a new house to buy. We were told it was no issue that we could renew every month and that we would be told a few days in advance when we needed to pay for another month. That's the ONLY reason we went here! Well, they lied. I can only assume it was to get some extra money during an otherwise dead part of the year. The owner decided to tell me 8 days in advance that we needed to leave because they were full for memorial day. I was given 7 days before memorial day to look for another place for my family to live, nice right?!?!? Also, It wasn't a mix up with the front desk girl either, He's the one that told us we could stay month to month with no worries!! Besides that though, the man is a lunatic. He loses his temper and yells at people for simply driving too fast, which is his opinion as he has no radar or anything like that. I witnessed him almost jump out of his golf cart as he went crazy because he felt a minivan was driving too fast. Waving his arms like a crazy person as he screamed at this man. Crazy! He's kicked people out for what he feels is driving too fast, we aren't talking about going 30mph, ohh no.... If you make dust while driving on his annoying white landscaping pebbles he feels that means you're speeding and you'll hear from him. If he thinks your working on your truck he'll tell you that you're not allowed. If you park off the rocks onto the grass you'll hear about it. Basically if you do ANYTHING and he's bored, you'll hear about it. Bottom line, if you want to feel like your a teenager again living with your overly strict parents, then stay here. Otherwise... Keep looking!!
5We have the opportunity to camp over a wide range of sites in the state. This was our first experience at Deer Run and I must say it was pretty exciting. We were pretty hyped up prior to arrival and it certainly didn't disappoint. We arrived on Friday and left on Sunday and I told my wife and our camping friends on Saturday that I think this could possibly be my favorite spot in the State. Restrooms were spotless, the staff was very friendly, and the campground was beautiful. I'm an early riser, I woke up at 5:30, got in the golf cart and drove to the dam on the beautiful lake and just sat there with a cup of coffee . It was beautiful, so serene. We will definitely be back, providing we can get this beautiful place. Crossville is also a very nice city to visit. Thanks for having us.
We stayed at Deer Run a few years ago and were so happy that they were close to our meeting place. Service was excellent and friendly. The peace and quiet were exactly what we needed. We especially enjoyed all the new upgrades and ease of access. See you all next time! Mary and Carol
Our stay was awesome!! Took the dogs with us and they had a great time romping in the lake. Campground was clean and everyone was super friendly. Lots to do in the park, play ground, swimming, tennis and pickle ball courts, basketball court and a baseball field. We will definitely stay again!
