Elk Country Campground is ideally situated in the town of Driftwood, Pennsylvania, placing it right in the core of the state's most popular elk habitat. The official address is 545 Castle Garden Rd, Driftwood, PA 15832, USA. This location positions the campground within Cameron County, an area known for its dense forests, mountainous terrain, and abundant wildlife.
Its accessibility is a significant benefit for Pennsylvania travelers. Great campground! Our family really enjoyed our stay here. At night it’s really peaceful. We heard bugling morning and evening hours and coyotes at night. We did see 2 Bull Elks in the campground during our stay. The hosts of the campground were the nicest people I have ever met. My son is 7 years old and autistic, doesn’t have the greatest behavior lol. But they made me feel really comfortable having him there which unfortunately, we have been to a few campgrounds and I can tell they just didn’t understand Joey and it made me feel like we were a bother. We will definitely be back!
Sep 01, 2025 · Pam KofflerThis is our go to camping spot, our happy place. We love this campground because the owner is amazing, we love Ben and having the company of his son playing with our boys. We come up multiple times a year for 2+ nights, usually 3. The campground is always clean and put together. The location is perfect- love to be able to walk across the tiny country road to the river or just to be able to sit and enjoy the Mountain View’s around a fire. Everything you need is in a reasonable drive. We know the area pretty well, as a family we’ve been coming to the campground for 4 years and counting. My husband has been coming to the area for over 20 years. Local food places are family friendly. And honestly, if you have a question, ask Ben! Will continue to come here all the time.
Jul 30, 2025 · Hunter UrickLovely location by the river, nice friendly owner. There isn't any shower and the toilets are 2 portopotties. The water provided was delicious spring water. The big highlight of our stay was the 2 wild elk we saw in the morning!
Sep 08, 2025 · Julie CHEBANCEThis is an excellent small campground. I can’t speak highly enough about the place. Ben was fantastic to deal with and went way above and beyond to accommodate us at the last minute. This place feels like home and the people are wonderful.
Jun 01, 2025 · Colin WalkerWe stumbled on Elk Country Campground last year and loved everything about it! Its secluded but easy to get to, (some of the roads are a little snug with a large camper, but not their fault), campsites are spacious with plenty of room to spread out, the view is spectacular and the camp host was super friendly! Cant wait to go back!
