This place is tired and a rundown. Very loud road traffic and train whistle. The water pressure was only 30 psi. This park seemed to be mainly for full timers, and was a bit shady. STaff was pleasant location was convenient to USAF museum .
Apr 24, 2025 · marci mcgreevyStayed here for two nights while visiting the AF Museum (which is fantastic). This campground on the other hand is not fantastic. In its day, I think it was probably a decent place, but it is quite run down and the men’s bathroom was pretty bad. As stated in other reviews, there are some long term campers here with some trailers that are a bit scary. One site (I didn’t want to photograph actual sites) was a total hoarders junk yard. We lucked out and got a pretty good site that was level and had a new 50 amp box. If I was placed by some of the decrepit sites, I would have felt a bit unsafe. Another issue is it is noisy…it is surrounded by two highways and a busy road…and a loud train occasionally passes by. I hate to be overly critical but this could be a nice campground if they fixed up the bathhouse and set a standard for seasonal campsites. Would I stay here again? Only if it was in a select few sites that were up front and visible.
Sep 12, 2024 · Michael SmithThis place was downright scary. I would avoid this place. We canceled a night on the way back through, and the guy charged us another night and did not refund.
May 14, 2025 · Theresa SchultzBeen a long time since I been there. Although the atmosphere was inviting the lake looked pretty bad. You can tell it really hasn't been tended to. My brother and I asked the owner if we could move the fire pit to a different location across from the lot we were renting for the weekend because it was too close to the camper and we were told no. He told us to retract the awning and pretty much deal with it. The location we asked permission to move the fire pit to was literally across the way wouldn't have been a problem as we even told him we'd clean up the area after we were done. Just not a place I'd spend money on for a holiday weekend when there's plenty of better places to go.
Sep 03, 2023 · Bobby NorthThe staff here are very nice and helpful. There was electric and water available. The site are mostly level. It seems important that you should understand that this is more of a full- time trailer park than a campground; half of the trailers here will never move again unless destroyed and hauled off. Some of them are truly decrepit and badly patched together. The bathroom facilities are unmaintained and in very bad shape. The swimming area doesn't appear to have been looked after for ages. There are junk cars on the property. There are, however, still some dedicated campsites to be had, with hookups. I don't think you're in any danger here, but if you're looking for an RV Park to relax and recreate in, I don't think this is your place. If you just need a stop- over, you'll be fine. Just don't expect a resort.
