Introduction / Overview: Your Affordable Gateway to Northern Nebraska Travel
For Nebraska RV enthusiasts and travelers journeying across the scenic northern half of the state, the Ewing City RV Campground stands out as an exceptional, value-driven overnight solution. Located in the charming small town of Ewing in Antelope County, this city-operated campground is not trying to be a luxury "vacation destination," but rather an essential and reliable stop that provides key services at an unbeatable price.
As noted by local users, the campground is an "Excellent place to stop for the night," offering the critical amenity of full hookups—a necessity for many modern RVs—while maintaining a remarkably low nightly rate. This makes it a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers, those passing through on lengthy journeys, and particularly those exploring the historic and beautiful Cowboy Recreation and Nature Trail
which runs through this region of Holt County.
Managed directly by the local municipality, the park operates on a simple, trust-based system where users pay their minimal fee at the Ewing City Hall. This straightforward process and the community-supported nature of the facility underscore the friendly, welcoming spirit of small-town Nebraska. While it sits close to the main road for easy access, the campground is still considered "relatively quiet," allowing for a restful stop before continuing your travels.
Location and Accessibility: Perfectly Positioned in Antelope County
Ewing City RV Campground is centrally located in the heart of the Sandhills and Scenic Rivers region of Nebraska, positioning it conveniently for both east-west and north-south travelers. Its official address is simply Ewing, NE 68735, USA, placing it directly within the village limits and near key local access points.
Accessibility is a significant advantage of this park. It is situated close to Nebraska Highway 275 and is an ideal stopover for those following the route of the historic Cowboy Trail, a popular rail-to-trail conversion perfect for biking, walking, and horseback riding. The gravel RV pads are easy to navigate, even for larger rigs, making the pull-in and departure process simple for an overnight stay.
While the campground is not directly adjacent to the city hall for payment, the local nature of the community ensures that directions and assistance are readily available. The payment system requires a quick, easy trip to the City Hall, a common setup for well-run, municipal parks in Nebraska. The nearby presence of local parks and the main road ensures that even though the setting is rural, it is not isolated, providing comfort for local users traveling through.
Services Offered (Focus on Full Utility Hookups):
The core philosophy of the Ewing City RV Campground is to provide essential, high-utility services for transient RV traffic without unnecessary frills, allowing them to keep the cost incredibly low.
Features / Highlights (Convenience and Local Charm):

It cuts out the unnecessary expense and complexity often associated with large commercial parks, offering full hookups at an almost unheard-of price point. This financial value allows local families and retirees to stretch their travel budgets further. Furthermore, by staying here, Nebraskans are supporting a fellow community in their state, engaging directly with a charming small town that offers a quiet rest and easy access to some of the most beautiful trails and scenery the Sandhills region has to offer. It is a genuine, no-fuss overnight spot that reliably meets the core needs of the RV traveler.
Excellent place to stop for the night. Full hookups, close to the main road but still relatively quiet. It is not a vacation destination but great for an overnight stop especially for $13 / night. Pay at City Hall for you stay.
Oct 19, 2024 · Tim SmithThere is a park nearby with a bathroom. But it is not convenient for the campground
Aug 18, 2025 · Lifes MisfortunesLittle city Campground with several camper pads. The new ones need alot of work. Electric and water and sewer. Sewer pads need to be lowered and length of hose need to be 20ty to 40ty feet in length. For $13.00 dollars a night is quite reasonable. I would stay there again for 👍.
Jul 25, 2023 · Russ ClarkFull hook-ups(water,sewer,electric) @ 11 per day. Cash or check payment at the city hall office or in their drop box. No bathhouses but is next to playground. Too many stickers on the ground and cattle farm across the road. However, were thankful they have this park because the motels weren't the best option and high dollar in the area.
Nov 03, 2021 · Darlène TualaThis could be a great place...there is not much shade and the sandburrs are unbearable...but it is full hookups and the price is cheap at $13/night...the park is close for kids to play at.
