We have camped here multiple times and always enjoy staying here. The owners are more than accommodating. The campsites are very nice and some are well spaced. They have a lot of beautiful seasonal spots and even some trails to walk through. They are pet friendly and have pet cleanup stations throughout the campground as well. This is one of my favorite places to camp.

This weekend was our first time staying at the Fireside and it ranks among the better campgrounds I've been in. The owners are very friendly and attentive to people staying. Sites are nice sized and easy to get into and out of with room to park your truck off the road as well. Bathrooms and showers were always clean and well kept. Finally there were a lot of people but it was quiet enough you really didn't notice you had neighbors in the campground most of the time. It's about 30 minutes from House on the Rock and 10 minutes from multiple day use areas on the river. Tubing and canoeing is close by and there is a lot to do if you look around. We will definitely be going back.

This was one of our best camping experiences to date. We had a pull through site with full hook up and it was perfect. Everything you read about Cal and Donna is true. Fantastic owners who care about their business and the campers there. Had a problem with our hitch and Cal slept on it for a night (actually he said he couldn't sleep and was thinking about it all night) and came back the next day with a solution, and fixed it for us. We are so looking forward to coming back again, staying longer next time. Thank you, Cal and Donna.
