Introduction / Overview
For Tennessee families and travelers exploring the natural wonders of East Tennessee, finding the perfect home base is key to a memorable vacation. Forest Grove RV Resort, nestled in the scenic and history-rich town of Dandridge, stands out as a premier destination. Far more than a simple campground, this facility is designed and operated as a true resort, offering an extensive array of activities and conveniences that cater to all ages. It is quickly becoming the go-to spot for locals who want a full-service experience without having to travel too far from the heart of the state’s most beloved attractions.
Located strategically in Jefferson County, just off I-40, Forest Grove RV Resort emphasizes comfort, cleanliness, and fun. The park is praised by guests for its commitment to excellent maintenance and its impressive collection of on-site amenities, which turn a simple stay into a full-fledged vacation experience. Visitors have consistently given it five-star ratings for its cleanliness, well-maintained grounds, and the sheer volume of activities available right on the property. Whether you are passing through on a cross-country trip or settling in for an extended stay to explore the Smoky Mountains, this resort offers a polished and highly entertaining option for your RV lifestyle.
One of the key things local users should note is the resort's relatively new construction and modern approach. While this provides immaculate, well-designed facilities, it means the natural shade from mature trees may be limited across some areas of the park, as mentioned in customer reviews. Guests have loved the spacious, level concrete pads and the wide, paved roads that make maneuvering even the largest RVs (up to 60 feet) easy and stress-free. The focus here is on a resort experience, complete with full hook-ups and high-end services, creating a luxurious and convenient atmosphere for all visitors.

We’ve grown to love this place quickly! It has a pool, basketball courts, etc. for the kids to enjoy as well as a restaurant on site that has amazing food! We just stayed for our first Labor Day and it was amazing! We’ve already booked our Halloween weekend! Only thing I wish it has was some shade, but it’s still a 5 star stay!
Sep 01, 2025 · Travis ClemmonsWe stayed here on two different nights while traveling back and forth from Alabama to South Carolina. What a wonderful place! They have every amenity you could ever want....pool, splash park, basketball, playground, arcade, on-site cafe and bar, beautiful bathhouse, dog park, and more! Everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the rates are very reasonable. We ate at the cafe both of the nights we stayed here, and also sampled their yummy baked items as well. We were very pleased with everything and would definitely stay here again. This is definitely a five star park...but if I had to nit-pick a tiny bit, I would say that I miss having a few trees around.....and it would be very handy to have a small grassy area on the opposite side of the park from the dog park. Our site was quite far from the dog park, and being handicapped, it was not practical for me to travel to the dog park each time our little shih tzu had to do her business. As a result, she had to go on either rocks or cement. Other than that, I cannot think of a single thing that is not available here.
Sep 19, 2025 · Michele PappagalloThis is a well kept and family friendly campground. The campground and facilities are well taken care of, the sites are large and easy to get into, the staff are friendly, and there are plenty of things for families to do together. The prices at the camp store are reasonable. The food at the café was fantastic and reasonably priced as well. I'm looking forward to camping here again.
Sep 01, 2025 · FFBMWe spent 4 nights here. The place is very well laid out for maneuvering your camper around. The on site amenities pool, restaurant and general store to me are awesome. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with any questions. It's just far enough away from Pigeon Forge to be relaxing yet close enough to everything so you can enjoy all the attractions. This is our first time staying. From now on it will be our first choice in the area to stay.
Aug 22, 2025 · James HatcherAlthough the camp pads are nice, they do have a pool, but it is very boring for older children. There is not any thing for them to do other than the one pool they have. We had one family that complained of the kids driving the golf carts so one family was able to take what fun they found away. Said they were driving too fast. My goodness they only go ten miles an hour anyway and there may be twenty campers out here. Is the resort clean yes are they friendly that is a toss up. Are they in the middle of nowhere yes! Nothing around outside the campground. If you are an elderly couple and want to just camp and not do anything else it is perfect. If you have children over the age of about ten they will be very bored. Not enough for them to do at a campground of this size. Maybe in the future when they have what they say they will have it will be better so maybe we will check it out in three years and see where they are at, as for now we will not be coming back any time soon.
