While there was a mention of past management changes and some interpersonal issues in one review, the overwhelming sentiment from many residents points to a positive, laid-back, and peaceful atmosphere, where the owner, Dee, is highly regarded. The fact that the park is a secure, gated community also provides peace of mind for all guests. If you're seeking a quiet, clean, and spacious RV park with a vibrant community spirit in South Texas, Freedom RV Resort comes highly recommended. As one happy resident put it, "You won't want to leave!" Come on out and experience it for yourself.
We've been living for about 18 months and we love it! It's so nice and peaceful here. On a clear nite you can see all the stars on the sky and the full moon s we get here. They are so beautiful and orange. About 4 months after we got here, I was being trained to be the manager cause the then present manager fell on love and moved to another state. My husband, Casey, ended up being maintained and security. I wouldn't trade my job for nothing in this world, except maybe Costa Rica! Lol boy, this is the life to have!!! Laid back, relaxed, peaceful. Couldn't ask for more or a better place to be. Here the people are so nice that come here and so are the people that live here The owner, Dee, is the greatest boss I ever had! We have a pot luck k and dance once a month here. Winter months, it's held in the barn. Summer months are held at the pool. During the summer months, we also have karaoke at the pool on Sundays once a month. We have so much fun at our dances and karaoke parties. Yall need to come out and experience this. You won't want to leave! We have a beautiful pool and a wonderful hot tub that has so many jets. We also have an outdoor shower and a portapotty restrooms that are so clean. We are working on getting other things around the park. So come on out and visit us for the day or bring your camper and stay the night. I'm telling you, you won't want to leave!!! I forgot to tell you, the sites are the largest I've seen anywhere. It's like having 1 1/2 - 2 sites. We also have 2 rentals, but they fill up fast with advance reservations. So come on out and check us out. Oh yes, its in a gated community. Hope to see yall soon! This is an update to my review! My husband and I worked here for about a year and a half. Him as maintenance and security and myself as a property manager. Everyone told us this place never looked so good! My husband used to have a landscaping business before we sold our house. I had been in management for years. So, we knew what we were doing. Then everything changed!!! The owner always told me that Freedom WAS NOT going to be another swinger's place. She had kicked out a lot of them for not following the rules. So, she started losing business and blamed me for it. I got to where I didn't want the job or be there anymore, and so did my husband. She never ever said thank you for anything we did. So, when she let us go and told us we had to leave, my husband and I were never so happy!!! Come to find out, she let us go cause all those swinger's she kicked out said they would come back if she got rid of us. You see, we were not swingers, and I made them follow the rules. But they didn't come back!!! I do know one thing, I will NEVER EVER work for another RV park again!!! We still have friends there, and they keep us updated. It's just as empty now as it was when we left. I have no hard feelings towards the owner, and I told her that the day we left cause we used to be good friends. I'm not sure what happened, but I have an idea. It has to do with a couple that moved in there last summer who were friends with her. We were so happy and relieved not having to work there anymore, and I think that upset her a bit cause we weren't mad about what went down. Anyway, just be ware! It's a beautiful, quiet park, but some of the people who live there full time can't be trusted. My advice to all who go to rv parks is never work for them and just enjoy your stay. It's not worth the frustration or stress!!! I could tell you a lot more, but it's not worth my time, and this updated review would be way to long.
May 08, 2025 · Betty CookCan't say enough good things about this place - not sure where to start. Dee, the manager, is awesome; everyone here is super friendly; it's a very laid-back place where you can be who you want; and the walking areas are filled with wildlife. And oh ya, almost forgot, the hot tubs are perfectly hot and nice.
Mar 19, 2025 · Jeff DavisWe stumbled across this gem and spent Labor day weekend here. We had a very relaxing time. It's clothing optional, they do have hot tub and pool. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Sep 07, 2021 · Jenny LynnWell I for one just love being in a place to freely be nude with others. I live here full time…And the hot tub has been a favorite spot to soak and to visit. The pool is just beautiful. And evenings visiting with newly made friends at the pool is fantastic !! I appreciate the owner, Dee, and I offer her my opinion and suggestions from time to time. But she is the boss and I want Freedom to continue. This area needs this wonderful place to enjoy being nude with others. Come out for a visit…. It’s fantastic ! Thanks John
Jun 13, 2023 · John BishopI had some extra time over this last weekend delivering a trailer in south Texas and wanted a place to stay that was not a truckstop. The wonderful staff not only cleared a space out for me, they let me come in with the empty lowboy I was towing! Very reasonably priced and staffed by the most amazing people! I will fuel at the truck stops down the road but I’m parking here from now on!
