RV parks in Texas serve a crucial role in providing convenient and accessible accommodations for a wide range of travelers. Pecan Tree RV Park aims to offer a comfortable and well-maintained environment, providing a base from which to explore the charm of Pleasanton and the wider South Texas region. The park is designed to cater to various needs, from short overnight stops to longer-term stays for those working in the area or simply enjoying an extended vacation. The appeal often lies in combining the practicality of necessary hookups with a pleasant and community-oriented atmosphere.
As with any travel destination or living arrangement, individual experiences can vary, and Pecan Tree RV Park is no exception. This article is crafted to provide a factual and comprehensive overview, drawing from available public information and customer feedback. Our goal is to help prospective RVers and cabin renters make an informed choice, detailing the park’s location, its services, key features, and how to get in touch.
When considering an RV park, Texans often look for a balance of convenience, comfort, and a pleasant environment. We encourage a thorough review of all details about Pecan Tree RV Park to ensure it aligns with your specific needs and expectations for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Pleasanton area.
Pecan Tree RV Park is conveniently located at 2920 2nd St, Pleasanton, TX 78064, USA. This address places it just outside the main hustle and bustle of downtown Pleasanton, contributing to a "quiet and nice" atmosphere, as noted by a reviewer. Pleasanton itself is a well-known city in Atascosa County, famously dubbed the "Birthplace of the Cowboy," and offers a genuine taste of South Texas culture.
The park's location provides good accessibility for travelers. While it's situated "just outside of town," it remains within easy reach of Pleasanton’s local amenities, including grocery stores, restaurants, and essential services. This balance allows visitors to enjoy a peaceful environment without sacrificing convenience. For those traveling with RVs, the proximity to major roads is a significant advantage. Pleasanton is served by U.S. Highways 281 and 97, as well as Interstate 37, which connects San Antonio to Corpus Christi. This makes Pecan Tree RV Park a strategic stop for those traveling north or south through Texas.
One of the key benefits of this location for Texans is its reasonable proximity to San Antonio. As one review highlights, the park is "30 minutes from San Antonio." This makes Pecan Tree RV Park an ideal base for those who wish to explore the rich history and vibrant attractions of San Antonio, such as the Alamo, the River Walk, or the city's numerous museums and entertainment venues, without having to stay directly within the city's denser areas. After a day of urban exploration, guests can retreat to the quieter setting of Pleasanton.
However, it is important to note the specific feedback regarding internal accessibility within the park. A review from a large 40-ft fifth-wheel owner mentioned significant challenges with "speed humps every 25 feet or so throughout the park," causing scraping and difficulty. While the location outside of town and proximity to San Antonio are generally positive attributes, large RV owners should consider this specific internal park feature when planning their visit. For smaller RVs or cabin renters, this may be less of a concern.

Customer Reviews
We just stayed one night, but getting in and getting out we're a nightmare with speed humps every 25 feet or so throughout the park. We scraped and carried dirt and gravel on top of our front Jack's over every hump. We are in a large 40 ft fifth wheel. When we left, we had to air up our hitch which we never have to do in hopes of helping make it over them. It did help, but I had to walk us out and place our Jack's in any Grove available to decrease the amount of drag. I took a few pics of speed humps, but they don't do it justice as to how high some of them were. Some were almost a foot high. We won't be stopping here again. If not for the humps, I would have given it a 4. It's a good park for a night or two passing thru, but the humps and damage to our Jack's was not worth it.
Quite and nice well manicured grounds several cabins and lot spaces available clean safe and nice people.just outside of town. 30 minutes from San Antonio.
Nice and quiet place, clean and manager is helpful. Price is good ,would stay again and recommend to others.
I lived here for 2 years in the cottages available. In that time the people in the park were kind. The managers of the park on the other hand are another story. The managers there are constantly in your business, constant home inspections because someone else’s house was dirty. Rude. Cussing out you. The most unprofessional property managers I’ve ever dealt with. Hands down the worst place I’ve ever lived and it was specifically because of the property mangers that live on site. I highly recommend any other place In town to stay. There are many rv parks and one right next door that is much better. Avoid at all costs!
Loved this place in the beginning till it became time to move out. We were paid up till the 31st and was moving locally. I am a stay at home mom with a 10 month old and it took a few days to get moved out due to my husband working. Anyways I went back with keys in hand the morning of the 31st to pickup the last load and walked into the cabin to nothing. When I went up front to get my deposit back and ask where my things were I was told that the temp manager (because the property managers were out of town and just got in) had assumed that we were moved out so he went into the cabin to clean it and threw our stuff away. When I told him I needed to be reimbursed for it (it included my sons highchair, outside fold up chairs, a fishing pole, some of my sons new Christmas gifts, and my sons clothes) I was told there is nothing he could do. I let him know, Ralph, that I would be following up with the police. At this moment I have made a report, which the police said they have heard before and recommended a civil suit, and also followed up with the justice of peace. My next step is a certified letter stating I am taking them to court and waiting on their papers to be served. I loved the place and the people till they showed their true colors. It really bothers me when someone can't even admit fault for something that is 100% there problem. Now my son has to do without because someone assumed something that they shouldn't have and proceeding to go ahead without checking.
