Giddings RV park About
Thinking about hitting the road with your RV in the Lone Star State? Finding the perfect place to set up camp can make all the difference for your Texas adventure. If you're looking for a convenient, well-equipped, and welcoming spot in Central Texas, Giddings RV Park might just be your ideal destination. This relatively new RV park has quickly become a popular choice for travelers and locals alike, offering a comfortable and practical base for exploring the region.
Giddings RV Park is conveniently located at 1850 W Austin, Giddings, TX 78942, USA. Situated just off Highway 290, the park offers excellent accessibility for RVers traveling through the area. A key point to remember when arriving is that the campground entrance is accessed through the Texaco Travel Plaza. To get to the camp office/check-in, you'll need to turn RIGHT behind the Quonset hut. It’s important to disregard any signs that tell you to turn left at the hut, as this will lead you into the truck fuel lanes. Once you're past the initial turn, you'll find wide, asphalt interior roads, making navigation for even the largest rigs a breeze. The park is set back from the main road, ensuring a quiet stay despite its easy access to amenities.
Full Hook-ups: Every site at Giddings RV Park comes equipped with full hook-ups, including electricity (30 and 50 amp), water, and sewer connections, ensuring a hassle-free stay.
Restrooms and Showers: The park provides restrooms with showers for guest use. While they were beautifully built, some areas outside the showers may show signs of wear due to design, but they are available for your convenience.
Laundry Facilities: There are ample washer and dryer units available for guests, allowing you to keep your clothes fresh during your travels.
High-Speed Wi-Fi: Stay connected with the park's high-speed Wi-Fi, perfect for streaming, working, or keeping in touch with loved ones.
Clubhouse / Banquet Hall: A spacious clubhouse is available for guests, featuring a pool table and an arcade game. This facility can also be rented for private parties or gatherings.
Stocked Fishing Pond: Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the stocked fishing pond on-site, a serene spot to unwind.
LP Gas: Metered LP gas is available on site.
Spacious Concrete Pads: The RV sites boast wide, concrete pads, providing a stable and level surface for your rig. While some sites may require a couple of leveling boards, picking your preferred site upon arrival is an option.
Plenty of Sites: With approximately 120 sites, Giddings RV Park typically has good vacancy, even during busier times, making it a reliable choice for spontaneous trips.
Generous Spacing: Sites are wide with ample space between them, offering a sense of privacy and room to spread out.
Quiet Setting: Despite its proximity to a travel plaza, the park’s layout ensures a peaceful environment, set back from the main highway.
Co-located with Travel Plaza: The park's adjacency to a travel plaza provides easy access to gas/diesel and a small store for convenience items.
Newer Facility: As a relatively new RV park (only two years old), Giddings RV Park features modern infrastructure and design.
Pet-Friendly: The park welcomes pets, though it’s worth noting that keeping a leash on your furry friends is recommended, and regular grass cutting would improve the experience for walking and picking up after them.

Customer Reviews
The good: They have lots of sites and usually have no problem with vacancies. There is a clubhouse / banquet hall that can be rented for parties. They have restrooms with showers and lots of washer/dryers for use. There is a pool table and an arcade game in the clubhouse. The lady that runs the office is on point. The other: the front half of the site has little to no shade trees. There's no cable tv so get your antennas ready.
This well-designed RV park that is only 2 years old could easily get 4 stars from me with just a little effort. We paid $39 for a one-night stay. Pros: Wide, asphalt interior roads with concrete pads and full hook-ups at every site. Sites (about 120) are wide with plenty of space between them. Plenty of grass and some trees. Quiet and sits back off of Rt. 290. No issues with electric, water or sewer hookups. Co-located with travel plaza for easy access to gas/diesel and small store. Bathrooms were clean. Cons: DO NOT turn on Rolling Oaks to access the campground. You enter the campground through the Texaco Travel Plaza and must turn RIGHT behind the Quonset hut to get to the camp office/check-in. IGNORE THE SIGN THAT TELLS YOU TO TURN LEFT AT THE HUT OR YOU WILL END UP IN THE TRUCK FUEL LANES. Most available sites weren’t level but they let you ride through and pick the site you want. Definitely take the time to do this. Just a couple of boards leveled our motor home easily. The bathrooms were beautiful when built but a poor design of the showers cause water to get on the walls. Every bathroom had rotted drywall with black mold outside of the shower. It appears this has been a problem since the campground opened. There was plenty of grass throughout the campground but it hadn’t been cut in quite some time. This makes it hard to walk and pickup after dogs. No campground map or instructions provided at check-in and the webpage only gives rates and a number for reservations. Summary: Adding to the webpage, adding better signage, cutting the grass and repairing the bathrooms would be a great start to making this an excellent RV park. It could even become a destination campground for families by adding picnic tables, fire rings, a playground and some activities for kids.
Lots of new cement pads need to have leveling bords with you it's hilly. To get level clean safe place for overnight or longer
Lovely place.. will be staying here for a bit... easy access to the laundry clean office showers and community spaces... pond was nice to relax at... right off the highway so easy to up and go when need to.. overall great place lots of families with kids .. and the kids never get to loud which is great... quite time 10pm
