Great campsite and excellent host. Nicole was exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive to our needs while my family and I were there. When one of our friends mistakenly overpaid his stay, she was able to refund him within the hour. Thank you Nicole for being a great host. We definitely will be coming back for our next camping trip.
Jul 06, 2025 · Mrs. KouchHancock Campground – Site #17 (7/2–7/6) We had a great time camping at Hancock Campground over the July 4th weekend. We stayed at Site #17, which was quiet, spacious, and had just the right amount of privacy. It was also close to the river—perfect for relaxing and cooling off. Nicole, the camp host, was amazing. She was super friendly, helpful, and made sure everything around the campground was clean and running smoothly. You could tell she really cared about everyone having a good experience. During our stay, we noticed another group nearby who didn’t follow the campground rules and were being very loud with high volume speakers. Nicole stepped in and handled it respectfully and professionally. We later saw that they left a 1-star review, which felt unfair—she was just doing her job and looking out for all of us trying to enjoy a peaceful stay. We’re really glad we chose this campground and would definitely come back. Big thanks to Nicole for helping make it a great experience!
Jul 08, 2025 · seng kaucExtremely accessible location. Just a few miles beyond Lincoln and Loon mountain, and immediately after you enter the White Mountains National Forest. The campsites on the south side of the highway, especially those adjacent to the Pemigewasset River, are great. It's definitely not a family campground or State Park, the bathrooms are basic, no electricity, but it's a great launching point for hiking or exploring the river. The person staffing the campgrounds was friendly and it was nice having firewood that was dry and readily available, cash only.
Jun 20, 2025 · Devon SkerrittOne of a small number of campgrounds open year-round in New Hampshire, & we are so grateful for it! We've tent-camped here in the dead of winter, which was an adventure. 😆 And we stayed here in Spring, also. Pit toilets are closed in the "off season" but they have port-o-potties. Bear-proof dumpsters. Met the host our last trip; they are the nicest, friendliest campground host at any state (& national) park campground we've ever stayed at, & that includes others in NH, plus PA, VA, & NC. ✌️ Sites of various sizes nicely spaced. Love it!
Jun 24, 2025 · Janet ShireyMy first time going and I enjoyed every second I was there, Nicole made us feel so welcome and we couldn’t thank her enough! She keeps everything very very clean and if you ever need anything she was always there. Cannot wait to come back!
