Great complex. We were looking to buy a place, and a random resident who was at the club house showed us around and was very friendly. We love that the complex is on the water with access to the river. We also met with the realtor Kim McGrath. She was amazing and explained all the details of buying at Harbor Cove. We will be buying there for sure.
Apr 15, 2025 · Bill McGinnisMy folks organized the tenant buyout of the park a few decades ago, so I am partial to the place, but it is a well run, friendly and affordable alternative to the glitzy communities surrounding it. Nice paths for walking, access to the Myakka River for boating or fishing (including a marina with slips and a boat launch). Several nice lakes, with reported good fishing, but watch out for the alligators! Management of the park works for the residents, and park facilities are steadily improving. We had a tornado warning in the middle of the night during the July 6th hurricane, and the alert system, and the clubhouse shelter made us feel quite secure (the clubhouse lower floor is rated for tornado shelter, but isn't high enough off the water to be a full hurricane shelter). An active community of folks who make their own fun and generally get along pretty well with each other. There are a lot worse places you could choose to retire...
Jul 21, 2021 · Ken ErfourthI'm the second generation living here from Massachusetts. Wonderful people and lots of activities to enjoy. Beautiful Marina to store your boat. Excellent place to retire!
Mar 09, 2022 · Wendy FischerMy father has been here for two years. The community is amazing and filled with very kind people. My dad lives by himself and I feel very comfortable he is ok because of all the great activities planned. The pool area is very well maintained. There are lots of get togethers and activities for all to join in. Would definitely recommend.
