As a campground within Beavers Bend State Park, Hickory Campground typically operates under the pricing and booking structures of Oklahoma State Parks. Therefore, specific "promotions" in the commercial sense (like discount codes or seasonal sales) are not commonly advertised directly for individual campgrounds. However, visitors can often find value and potential "offers" through the state park system's general policies or seasonal considerations:
- Affordable Rates: Primitive camping within state parks is generally the most budget-friendly lodging option available, offering significant savings compared to cabins or full-service RV sites. For instance, typical primitive tent sites in Oklahoma State Parks can range from $8-$12 per night, making Hickory Campground a very economical choice.
- Off-Season Camping: While not a formal "promotion," visiting during the off-peak seasons (such as late fall, winter, or early spring, outside of major holidays) can offer a more secluded experience at regular rates, often with fewer crowds and more availability.
- Oklahoma State Park Passes: For frequent visitors to Oklahoma State Parks, purchasing an Oklahoma State Parks Annual Pass might offer cost savings over multiple visits throughout the year, effectively serving as a discount for various park activities and potentially camping fees (though specific benefits should be confirmed).

Great primitive camping along the edge of a beautiful River. Lots of shade and very peaceful
Really pretty place to make camp. Restrooms nearby and trash dumpsters. Each site has a picnic table and barbecue grill. Also has firepits at every campsite. River running by camp with good trout fishing. Lots of wildlife so you might be visited by a band of raccoons. They can be messy if you leave them opportunities to get into your trash. Lots of deer also. Loved it.
We've stayed at Hickory campground many times. We've always camped on the water where we can walk down a short path and put our chairs right into the river. It's always super cold but in the summer it's refreshing. The canoes and kayaks float right past us, and whether looking to the left or right we usually see people fly fishing. Ofcourse the water is always moving, and in alot of places it can be heard from inside the tent. There are spots all along the water to choose from. Some with more trees and more privacy than others. Water spigots are spread about through the campground and everyone shares them. If you want water right at your campsite then just choose a site next to the spigot. Great place to camp for sure!
Such an amazing place to just get away from it all!
One of the best campgrounds in Beavers Bend State Park!
