Small campsites, quiet location, there are trees for your hammock tent, showers are coin pay, currently it’s a dollar for eight minutes, which is plenty for a shower. They have lots of activities for little kids to do on site, including a hayride and a pizza party. We stayed here to be within an hour drive of Hersheypark, and an hour and a half drive to Philadelphia, so it was the right location tent sites have water and electric and I think it was about $60 a night no complaints very friendly people who work there, super clean pool, clean restrooms
Aug 09, 2025 · Adrienne Van der PloegCamping like it’s 1997 — in a good way. Hickory Run Campground isn’t trying to be a five-star resort, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. It has that old-school campground vibe… think “family camping trip before smartphones” with quiet, relaxed weekends, kids riding bikes, fishing, bingo nights and live bands! The bathrooms work, the sites are decent, and the squirrels seem friendly. Nothing fancy, just good, simple camping. I’ve been coming here since the ‘90s, and what keeps me coming back is the community feel around every campfire and the family memories made year after year. Big shout-out to Charlie at the front desk — super nice guy who asked me to leave a review, so here I am, doing my civic camping duty. If you’re looking for a place to unplug, let the kids run around, and enjoy camping the way it used to be, Hickory Run is that place.
Jul 03, 2025 · Kristin Carter2025 Aug, We were at site 301 and this is most frustrating campground yet! No campground map upon check in, hardly any clear signs for direction to our campsite, confusing marking for campsite itself so we had to move! no showers in the campground where we were and no notice that this was the case. Main bldg where supposed to be shower but was under renovation but doesn't even have any closed sign or where to find next shower room. Had to drive to another loop to shower then in the middle of summer, water was only warm and hot! Never again in that campsite!
Aug 20, 2025 · RedIf you book a site, read their fine print on the website before booking. A call was placed to price, and book, not their website, and they did not inform me that there are no refunds if you leave early, even with a medical emergency. The ladies working were nice, but the elderly gentleman is not..Expect to be made to feel less than by his judgements. Also, you need to bring quarters for the showers and laundry space. I did not receive my emailed receipt. I reached out to speak with the owner via phone and email with no response. Nice pool.
