Located high on the hills of Stevens, PA, in the picturesque landscape of Lancaster County, this resort is consistently described by locals and travelers alike as a true "gem." Unlike simple rustic campgrounds, Starlite is a fully featured, impeccably maintained facility that combines the peace of an elevated natural setting with an exceptional array of recreational amenities. It is an established, family-run business that takes immense pride in providing a super clean, well-maintained, and friendly atmosphere that keeps guests returning season after season.
Starlite Camping Resort is renowned throughout the mid-state region for its most striking feature: the truly spectacular, panoramic views. Situated to overlook the sweeping landscape of the valley below, many of the resort's sites offer a breathtaking vista that transforms from lush greenery by day to a twinkling carpet of town lights by night. This elevated position sets the resort apart, offering a unique backdrop for everything from morning coffee to evening campfires. The ambiance is one of relaxing tranquility, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, or Lancaster.
The quality of service at Starlite is frequently highlighted by visitors. Customers consistently praise the friendly staff and the exceptional cleanliness of the entire facility, from the grounds to the bathhouses. One standout feature often mentioned is the camp store, described as one of the best many campers have ever visited, suggesting it is well-stocked with everything guests might need, minimizing the necessity of frequent trips into town. Starlite successfully cultivates a family-friendly environment focused on creating lasting memories, offering diverse recreational activities and a robust schedule of monthly events, such as live music and chili cook-off competitions, fostering a strong sense of community among guests.
Location and Accessibility
Starlite Camping Resort is definitively located at
1500 Furnace Hill Rd, Stevens, PA 17578, USA, placing it firmly within Northern Lancaster County. This location offers a strategic balance: it is close enough to explore the area's top attractions but secluded enough to provide a genuine, peaceful escape.Pennsylvania residents will find the resort accessible from major regional routes, though its elevated setting does require navigating some local roads. As noted by visitors, the journey to the resort includes "hilly and windy roads" that lead to its stunning hilltop position. This is a common and rewarding trade-off in the picturesque hills of Pennsylvania Dutch Country—the slight detour from the main thoroughfares leads directly to those spectacular views that define the Starlite experience.
While the resort is acknowledged as being "off the beaten path from town" and "a bit far from stores and most everything else," this seclusion is a highlight for those seeking quiet time and scenery. Nonetheless, the location provides a convenient base for day trips across Lancaster County and beyond. Within a short drive, campers can access the cultural richness of Ephrata, the renowned shopping of the Reading outlets, the historical sites of Lancaster City, and the vast farmlands and local markets that characterize Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Visitors frequently use Starlite as a comfortable home base for extensive sightseeing and exploration across the wider Central and Southeastern Pennsylvania region.

What a gem of a place! I found this campground on Google when searching for one in PA and I am so glad I found it! Is it off the beaten path from town? Yes. A bit far from stores and most everything else? Yes. Hilly and windy roads? Yes. Spectacular views, clean and all the amenities you need? YES! 🙌🏻 I booked early and was able to get a Plateau site #133 and it had the most amazing views! Not a large site but 50amp full hookup and fit our 34’ camper and truck. The pavilion is right in front of it but it was never busy while we were there and we had a clear view of the landscape below from our site. I miss it already! Super clean place, well-maintained and the best camp store we’ve ever been in! They have everything and a very friendly staff. They also have volleyball, tennis courts, basketball, a baseball field, a mini golf course (were just completing it and only open on weekends so we didn’t use it) a cool “teen” game room and a huge beautiful pool area, and a smaller kids pool, again with those spectacular views that are to die for! They also have monthly events. Plus a laundry room and bathrooms nearby. Everything was so nice! My one and only complaint 😔 is in regards to their pool hours. It’s only open 11-7pm and 11-4pm on Sunday and we wanted to enjoy it after we returned in the evenings when the town lights below were twinkling but they are very strict with that time! Someone is there at the exact time to close everything down daily. I wish they would reconsider those times and extend them. They are just too short. That is our only complaint with this wonderful campground…. We took many day trips all over the area and did a lot of sightseeing so I hope we can return one day.

Jul 20, 2025 · Karolina GillerOne of the cleanest campgrounds I have camped at. The views are amazing and the staff go out of there way to help you in anyway they can. It’s an A + resort for family friends and folks that want to experience a great camping experience.
Aug 08, 2025 · Joseph StewartOkay, who has an actual plane adorning their mini golf?? The Kitch family of course! We wish we had more time to spend at this campground. We do consider this campground our second home. They make everyone feel like a family friend. It's no wonder this place is so successful. God bless the continued success of this hard working family run business.
Sep 23, 2025 · Anna ChanikThis campground is truly top-notch. The family who runs it is hardworking, kind, and incredibly gracious. When our 6-year-old son had a medical need, they went above and beyond to ensure he received the right care—something we’ll always be grateful for. We need more people like this family in the world today! The campground itself is spotless, the store is charming and thoughtfully arranged, and the arcade is perfect for kids (complete with a bonus jukebox!). If you’re looking to disconnect from your daily routine, don’t hesitate—book your stay here!
