For Maryland residents, accessing the campground is generally straightforward. If you're traveling from the western or central parts of the state, such as Baltimore or Washington D.C., you would typically take US-50 East across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. As you approach the Ocean City area, you'll find clear signage and turns that lead you off the main highway towards Newark and specific local roads like Croppers Island Road. Customer Reviews
We stayed at this campground July - September 2024. The campground could use some TLC - most of the amenities are run down and they need to put money into the amenities. The sites are large and spacious, but that’s the only thing going for this campground besides the affordability compared to Sun Outdoors in area. The front desk staff generally arent very friendly, they are strict. We’re full time RVers and have been to over 100+ campgrounds so for us to say this.. says a lot and we do Thousand Trails (if you know you know). We called to stay again mid May to mid June 2025 since we have family in area, never received a confirmation email, and called to cancel reservation since we are waiting on our RV to be ready/fixed and it won’t be ready in time. For our month stay, a $500 deposit is required and since we didn’t cancel within 30 days of reservation they weren’t willing to give money back.. we didn’t know this policy since we never got the email. They didn’t send the confirmation to the correct email address, not an error on our end. If you are looking for a very sub par campground, this does the job, but don’t expect much.
Hidden gem! Nice family owned campground, has a lake and access to the sound, has a pool, you can rent kayaks. They have great RV sites, cabins and campers to rent -
We stayed here for a weekend at the end of June. The campground was big, office, store and guard staff were excellent. The pool was nice as well. A few things I would like to see improvements on when we come back are a new playground for the kids. My kids love playgrounds, especially when camping so they couldn't play on the one that was here, and also maybe potentially hire an event staff / food truck for the weekends for weekend activities. Also I see no reason why tents aren't allowed to setup here, as it is beautiful at night, it's got perfect sites for tent camping. Considering the prices are fairly close to a sun outdoors. This place could jack the prices up a little more to pay for those accommodations, which will eventually bring in a more full campground. There is some landscaping that should be done as well along with maintaining the grass on campsites. Come Friday every site should be freshly cut. If some of these things continue to be overlooked, sun outdoors will be knocking on your door soon with an offer, if they haven't already. Overall the stay was okay and there is plenty to do around the area thankfully.
Adorable little spot with very kind people. We stayed here for Ocean City Bike Week and had a great time. It feels like a little community. They have laundry on site and a general store should you need anything. They were very friendly and the security at the gate always wore a smile. They all seemed to really enjoy being there. Will absolutely stay here again.
I had a great experience in one of the cabins. If only the office staff was more attentive to replying appropriately to voicemails and updating their voicemail greeting, I would give it a 5-star rating.
