Look no further than Tanglewood Village in Vero Beach, Florida. This RV park offers a practical and accessible base for exploring all that the charming Vero Beach area and nearby Fort Pierce have to offer.
While every community has its nuances, Tanglewood Village provides essential amenities for a comfortable stay and boasts a location that puts you right in the heart of Florida's scenic beauty. Many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the convenience of its facilities, making it a viable option for both short-term visits and longer stays as you settle into the Florida lifestyle. This guide will provide you with a factual overview of Tanglewood Village, helping you determine if it's the right fit for your Florida RV experience.
Tanglewood Village is an RV park located in Vero Beach, Florida, designed to accommodate recreational vehicles looking for a convenient base in the Treasure Coast area. The park primarily offers sites with full hook-ups, catering to RVs of various sizes that require electric, water, and sewer connections for comfortable living.
The park's environment, like many established communities, can vary from site to site, with some residents taking great pride in their spaces. It aims to provide a functional and accessible place for RVers to stay, whether they are passing through, enjoying a seasonal visit, or looking for a more extended temporary residence as they transition into permanent Florida homes. Reviews indicate a divergence of experiences, with some visitors praising the "very nice" atmosphere, friendly management and people, and appealing amenities like a "very nice heated pool and laundry room." Other experiences highlight concerns regarding maintenance and association rules, suggesting a need for prospective residents to understand the park's operational style and their own expectations before committing to a stay. It is important to consider all perspectives when evaluating a park for your specific needs.
Tanglewood Village is strategically located at 1060 US-1, Vero Beach, FL 32965, USA. This prime location on U.S. Highway 1 is a significant advantage for RVers and visitors to the area, offering exceptional accessibility to local attractions, essential services, and major transportation routes.
U.S. Highway 1 is a primary north-south corridor along Florida's east coast, ensuring that residents and guests have immediate access to a wide range of conveniences. Within a short drive from Tanglewood Village, you’ll find numerous grocery stores, diverse dining establishments ranging from casual eateries to upscale restaurants, retail shopping centers, medical facilities, and pharmacies. This makes daily errands and provisioning for your RV stay exceptionally convenient.
The location also places you in a fantastic spot for exploring the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the Treasure Coast. Vero Beach is renowned for its pristine, uncrowded beaches, which are just a short drive east from the park. These beaches offer opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and shelling. The Indian River Lagoon, a vibrant estuary, is also easily accessible for boating, kayaking, and wildlife viewing.
Furthermore, the park’s proximity to US-1 provides excellent connectivity to neighboring cities. Fort Pierce, with its historic downtown, additional beaches, and cultural venues, is just a short drive to the south. Other major Florida destinations are also within reasonable reach for day trips or longer excursions. While one review notes hearing the "train" from sites towards the back of the campground, this is a common characteristic of locations near major transportation lines and a minor trade-off for the otherwise excellent accessibility to all that Vero Beach and the surrounding areas have to offer. This central location truly makes Tanglewood Village a convenient base for exploring Florida.
Tanglewood Village aims to provide a set of core services to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay for its RV guests.
-
Full Hook-up Sites: The park offers sites equipped with full hook-ups, including electrical connections (voltage unspecified but typically 30 or 50 amp), water, and sewer disposal. This allows RVers to have all the comforts of home directly at their site.
-
Heated Pool: A "very nice heated pool" is available for resident and guest use. This is a significant amenity in Florida, allowing for swimming and relaxation year-round, regardless of cooler temperatures.
-
Laundry Room: An on-site "laundry room" provides essential facilities for guests to wash and dry their clothes, a crucial convenience for both short-term and extended stays.
-
Pet Accommodations: The park allows pets, though specific rules apply (e.g., leash length restrictions as noted in one review). The presence of a "dog park" (though described as a "storage lot" by one reviewer) indicates an effort to cater to pet owners.
-
On-Site Management/Association: There appears to be an association or management team responsible for overseeing park rules and addressing resident concerns. The effectiveness and fairness of this management are subjects of differing opinions among reviewers.
It is important to note that one review specifically mentions "No bathhouse," suggesting that guests are expected to utilize their RV's bathroom facilities, especially given the availability of full hook-ups. The "restroom for the pool is an outhouse" as per one review, which is a detail for prospective visitors to consider regarding public restroom facilities.
Tanglewood Village offers several features and highlights that are attractive to RVers, alongside aspects that prospective visitors should be aware of.
-
Excellent Location for Exploration: Its prime location on US-1 in Vero Beach means easy access to "very great scenic places to visit with nice beaches, shops and restaurants" in both Vero Beach and Fort Pierce. This is a major draw for those looking to explore the Treasure Coast.
-
Heated Pool: The "very nice heated pool" is a definite highlight, providing a comfortable and enjoyable amenity for relaxation and recreation, particularly appealing in Florida's climate.
-
Full Hook-up Convenience: The availability of full hook-up sites is a key feature for RVers, offering convenience and self-sufficiency during their stay.
-
On-Site Laundry: Having a dedicated laundry room on the premises is a practical benefit for all guests, minimizing the need to seek off-site facilities.
-
Friendly Interactions: Some reviews highlight positive interactions, noting that "the manager and all the people we met were all extremely nice," contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for many visitors.
-
Pet-Friendly Aspect: The park generally allows pets, which is a crucial feature for many RVers traveling with their furry companions.
-
Quiet Areas: Sites "towards the very back of the camp ground" are noted for being "away from the main road," potentially offering a quieter experience despite the proximity to the train tracks.
It is important to acknowledge that some reviews highlight concerns such as the appearance of some "run down" trailers, overgrown "shrubbery and trees," and specific issues with park rules enforcement, potentially inconsistent application of rules (e.g., pet leash length, commercial signage), and communication from the association. These points of feedback are important for potential visitors to weigh against the positive attributes and to consider how they align with their personal expectations for an RV park.
While specific, publicly advertised "promotions or special offers" are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, RV parks often have various rate structures and potential incentives, especially for longer stays or during off-peak seasons.
We recommend inquiring directly about:
-
Seasonal Rates: RV parks typically adjust pricing based on demand. You might find better rates during Florida's summer months (off-peak season) compared to the popular winter snowbird season.
-
Weekly or Monthly Discounts: Many RV parks offer discounted rates for extended stays (e.g., weekly, monthly, or even seasonal rates) compared to nightly rates. If you plan a longer visit, be sure to ask about these savings.
-
First-Time Visitor Offers: Occasionally, parks may have small incentives for new guests to encourage them to try the facility.
-
Referral Programs: While not common for large-scale promotion, some parks may have informal or formal referral bonuses for existing residents who bring in new long-term guests.
For the most accurate and current information on availability, pricing, and any potential deals, contacting Tanglewood Village directly via phone is the best approach.

Customer Reviews
With few exceptions of people who actually take pride in their homes, the place is extremely run down. The association seems to favor some while harassing others. We were there only two days when we had a write-up of our dogs leash being more than 6 feet. (Others used retractable leashes and were fine. ???) Shortly after, we were told that we had to take the signage off our work vehicle as no advertising was allowed. (Not once did we solicit work. New to Florida, this was our only advertisement.) There were other vehicles displaying company logos? We stayed here as we prepared to move into our home moving from Arizona. Making multiple trips to and from my husband returned late from one trip. He parked our box trailer and came to bed. The next morning, we had already been written up for having it on our site. Mind you, there were 3 other sites with box trailers parked. My husband wanted to go through the items in the trailer before taking it to storage. But not once were we able to explain this because we were written up right away without ever being questioned. Seriously, the very next morning I checked my email and had the notice. The so-called dog park is nothing more than a storage lot, and the restroom for the pool is an outhouse. Some trailers appear to have black mold growing on them. Most of the shrubbery and trees are overgrown and unkept. This is not a place that I would stay, much less call home.
This place was very nice and the manager and all the people we met were all extremely nice. We stayed in 212 which was towards the very back of the camp ground which was good because you are away from the main road , but you will still hear the train. There was a very nice heated pool and laundry room. No bathhouse but that was ok we had full hook up. A lot to do in the area the Vero Beach area and Ft. Pierce are both really great scenic places to visit with nice beaches, shops and restaurants. We will for sure visit this area and park again. Thank you PJV
Tanglewood is a great little place in Vero beach! It's close to the beach and shopping is within walking distance. There are homes as well as RVs here. The permanent residents are kind, welcoming, and helpful. This is our 2nd visit here and we love it!
