My family and I stayed here and the one thing I can say is the cabins were relatively clean but had a weird layout. The queen sized bed in the kitchen, no couch, and bunk beds in a separate room. We battled flies all weekend inside and the smoke detector was laying on the table and not connected. The campground activities are geared more to younger kids. We had four teenagers with us. We participated in candy bar bingo and a special glow hay ride. Everything closes at 8pm, pool included. We've stayed at other places and the pool was open until midnight and offered music. The amenities were not advertised well. The slide was open for 2 hours a day. The say there is a mini golf available but it was teeny tiny, meant for toddlers, and no creative designs. It's very structured and scheduled environment. You were not able to fish late and they do not have any kayaks or paddle board rentals. There was RV that played loud music until 3 am. We made the most of it but left feeling very disappointed. I think they should add an arcade, water activities and they need to lighten up on the early shut downs. Most people on vacation like to stay up late and enjoy the day, past the 8pm curfew and quiet hours.
Jul 27, 2025 · alyssa emdOur second stay at Jellystone Chautauqua was even better than the first! We had so much fun, and there's so much to do! I'd like to send a special shout out to Mickey. He always has a smile on his face and is always willing to help out! He never stops! Thank you for an amazing second stay!
Jul 21, 2025 · Tammy HildebrandWe just spent the 4th of July weekend here with our kids. We've been to many different Jellystone campgrounds & this one was definitely one of the more "plain jane" and unkept campgrounds. A couple things to improve - the driveway!! It's awful. First impression as we bumped down a horrible driveway to a random gate that was manned, but all they did was tell us to go to the Ranger Station. (Hindsight from the weekend.. use the useless manpower from there & use them for the activities.) Not only was it crazy bumpy, but it was dirt with zero limestone, so it was incredibly dusty! It was without fail EVERY meal our family ate at our site on the picnic table - the 100 different golf carts going past made us feel like we were eating dirt. Which brings me to my next thing - golf carts. They were everywhere, multiple times being run by kids or teens, and went nonstop. Our site was not mowed or kept up and had huge ruts made by a previous camper that we now had to figure out how to get level & then trip through ruts all weekend walking around the site. Something a lawn roller could have easily fixed - especially when it's been so wet this season. We also had a loud group of seasonals right across from us that were drinking and got quite loud and vulgar. I am not opposed to drinking & having fun, laughing, etc while camping - that's what it's all about. (The fun, not drinking), but this was about 15 people at one site and they were obnoxious. Crazy loud and cussing or talking vulgar while we are sitting there eating dinner and trying to enjoy some time around a fire. I know you can't control everything - but this was just kinda the icing on the cake with the weekend. My kids are older, so it wasn't as big of deal, but I was saddened that there weren't any dance parties with the kids along the way or that we even got a wave from the bears as they rode past in their golf carts... they just sat on the back with their head hung. :( Just kinda ruined the fun, happy-go-lucky part of a Jellystone. The pool was beautiful & lovely.. enjoyed it alot! Overall - we did our best to enjoy our camping weekend, but I don't think we'll pick this one to return to in the future. Potential is definitely there, but more staff is needed to maintain the campground & keep up with all the hype of a Jellystone.
Jul 08, 2025 · Jody MayneHad a great time as always, plenty of planned activities for the kids to do, the new heated pool was a great time for all who chose to use it. The wi-fi was great for streaming movies on the rainy days, no complaints here. Staff was friendly, as always. Can't wait to see what new amenities are in the works for the near future. Great job Mickey and Jess!!
Jun 15, 2025 · Thad SteuartTo start my nephew loves Jellystone Campgrounds, and he is a rewards member. Thus, we try to do a Jellystone Campground once a year with him. We were here two years ago, and we enjoyed our time. It’s also in a great location to breweries in the area. This place is amazing if you have kids. Lots of stuff to do and events, and they added a few things since we were here last. Cabins are pretty great with lots of pots and pans for cooking. Also, we were given a welcome mug. They have added a food truck since we last visited, and it’s a really nice touch. We purchased 2 pizzas, the fried food basket, and the cinnamon twists. Everything was really good , and everything was priced with what you’d expect eating out. It’s nice to have a place to get fresh food over trying to get take out 15-30 minutes away. We did have a few issues with our stay. First being the wifi. There is barely any phone service here which isn’t their fault. However, we’d hope the WiFi would be decent. It was horrible. Barely could use our phones, and it was a big issue when trying to use google maps to go places from the campground. The other issue has to do with a staff member and my nephew. In the morning he was told no EV charging, my car needed to be unplugged immediately, and my car needed to be moved to outside park EV chargers. It lead to him knocking at our door, for due to WiFi he couldn’t text us. Before coming I read the park rules and policies, and I didn’t see anything about no EV charging. There was nothing about this in the rules handout, and there was no sign by the outlet outside. I’ve never had an issue with this at any other Jellystone or other campground. There was a no smoking or cooking on porch sign though. If there was a sign by the outlet that is was not to be used I’d understand, but there was no sign. This lead to an uneasy feeling about my car being in the property the rest of the stay. I’ll give them having the chargers as a nice touch for folks to have a place to charge EVs. However, $.49 a kWh is absurd for level 2 chargers. I’m charging my car at an ultra fast charger in Jamestown for the same price. In my experience most level 2 chargers cost 25-50% of the price of ultra fast chargers in the area. It is a nice perk they have, and I understand the pricing may be out of their control if another company runs them.
