Location and Accessibility

Kellogg RV Park is strategically located at 1570 IA-224, Kellogg, IA 50135, USA. Its most significant geographical advantage is its immediate proximity to Interstate 80, a major east-west thoroughfare traversing Iowa. Specifically, the park is a mere quarter-mile off I-80 at Exit 173, making for exceptionally easy on-and-off access for travelers. This highly convenient location is a huge draw for those driving across the state or exploring central Iowa.

Kellogg itself is a small, quiet town in Jasper County, offering a peaceful country setting for the RV park. Guests can enjoy blue skies, green grass, mature shade trees, and views of quintessential Iowa cornfields. Despite its rural feel, the park's location ensures that necessary amenities and local attractions are within easy reach. Newton, a larger community with more extensive services, is just a short drive away, while the major metropolitan areas of Des Moines (approximately 37 minutes drive) and Ames (approximately 54 minutes drive) are also accessible for day trips or more varied shopping and dining experiences.

A significant local attraction within close proximity is the Iowa Speedway, located just 5 miles from the RV park. This makes Kellogg RV Park an excellent base for race fans attending events there. Other nearby points of interest include Rock Creek State Park, offering outdoor recreational opportunities, and charming towns like Grinnell with its college and historical sites. While one reviewer mentioned some highway noise, they also noted it was manageable inside their RV with the AC running, a common trade-off for such convenient interstate access. Overall, the combination of immediate highway access and proximity to local attractions positions Kellogg RV Park as an incredibly convenient and accessible stop for Iowa RVers.

Nice, cute and quiet park. Very nice to have a restaurant on site, they serve more than just burgers. The only thing I wish I could do here is watch tv at night. 🙁 we don’t have satellite, the park doesn’t have cable and our antenna did not pick up any channels. Not one.

I really like this park. Everything screams convenience here. Gas station on site, farm eggs and free WiFi speaks volumes. My one wish is if they woukd upgrade to be able to stay open year round. I would never move if they did that 😃. Also, I am in love with the statues they made out of the tree stumps sticking out of the ground.

Very convenient location for us. The site at this rv park is the most level site I have ever stayed on. Nice little gas station and Cafe with excellent customer service. We purchased some farm fresh eggs there, had a burger and ice cream. We were just passing through so we only stayed one night. They had nice areas for campfires and beautiful decor throughout. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a nice evening.

Excellent stop convenient to interstate 80. Owner was very accommodating and helpful. One minor point is there are low trees that can be an issue for big rigs, but you can work around it going out another way. Great water and power (even under high loads excellent voltage)
