Customer Reviews
Great campground, love the home away from home. The owners are awesome and down to earth as well!
Great campground, peaceful, nice clean lakes, helpful management and staff, good assortment of different sites
We had a great time last weekend! We rented the trailer, and had family in 2 tent sites across the road. It was perfect to have a big home base and kitchen for everyone. The views from the deck are absolutely beautiful. There was a dj and karaoke on Friday and a band on Saturday, which we enjoyed from the comfort of our fire pit. The trailer was comfortable and cute. My only tiny complaint is that a lot of the windows didn't open, but enough did that we got a good breeze at night. The multi-level deck/dock was amazing, and multiple people caught good sized small mouth about ten feet from the front door. We brought kayaks and paddled around the 3 lakes, seeing lots of bass, crappie, and some HUGE carp, along with turtles and lots of birds. There's no wake on the lakes, so it was lovely and relaxing to paddle around. There's a very nice sand beach. The ice cream in the camp store was great, and everyone that we ran into, from the owner, to the employees, to the other guests were friendly and helpful. I can see why there are so many seasonal guests. Last but not least, Mike's Market up the road has fantastic meat, cold beer, and anything else that the camp store might not have (and they have a lot!). I can't say enough about our stay, and we will definitely be back!
Close to my home in Bay City and full of fun experiences. Everything from the lake to the pool this place has it all, even live music and a DJ on the weekends. The kids had a ton of fun fishing in the lake and finding tons of turtles along the way. We can't wait to return!
If you like to have fun while you camp, then this place isn't for you. Amenities aren't maintained at all, and to top it off the staff don't allow just about anything. We hung up a clothes line to dry our towels, mind you its about 30 feet into the 2 campsites we reserved, and we were rudely told, not asked, to take it down. The reasoning? A child might run into it and get tangled in it. A child that shouldn't be on out site to begin with, but whatever. The wood they sell for fires is always wet, regardless of rain. If you're not a seasonal renter with a camper I'd forget about coming here. The owners clearly have a bias and will let them do just about anything, regardless of its a rule that they advertise or not. My group and I have done literally nothing wrong since the moment we arrived, yet we're berated by the staff because we're younger. Will not be returning after this year.
