As a campground within the Ohio State Park system, Lake Hope State Park Campground operates under the fee structures set by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). Direct, ongoing "promotions" in the commercial sense are not typically advertised for state park camping. However, the value offered by Lake Hope is exceptional, making it a highly attractive option for Ohio residents.
Current camping fees are generally affordable, offering great value for the extensive amenities and recreational opportunities available. Cabin rentals are particularly noted for their "great price" even in the winter season, as highlighted by a satisfied customer. It is always recommended to visit the official Ohio DNR website or use their central reservation system (accessible via phone) for the most current pricing, availability, and any specific reservation policies for campsites and cabins. While specific discounts for groups or extended stays might occasionally be offered, direct inquiry through official channels is the best approach to confirm. The inherent affordability and high quality of the facilities and natural environment serve as the primary "promotion" for Lake Hope State Park Campground.

Customer Reviews
Such a wonderful experience! Staff were so welcoming. Our camp site (038- no electric) had a beautiful view and was set off enough from others to feel private. It was close to the lodge and lake. Plenty of amenities at the welcome center and firewood (cash only). I’ll def be back for another long, relaxing weekend at Lake Hope campgrounds.
I stayed in one of the Lake Hope Iron Furnace cabins this past week for a work training and had a wonderful stay! The cabin was a great price, clean, and to my surprise had more amenities than a hotel! The cabin had a furnace but I still enjoyed making a fire in the fireplace at night, cooking dinner in the fully equipped kitchen (they even provided any cooking ware or utensil I could possibly need), fresh clean bedding and towels, cable tv, a nice hot shower. I honestly wish the cabin was my actual house. I am shocked that I appeared to be the only one staying in the cabins, it is winter but I think these cabins would make for a great vacation in any season. Thanks for having me I will definitely be back!
Super nice, spacious campground. Would have liked more options as far as toilets but we didn't search too hard for them either. Showers were really warm just not a lot of space to do much with changing (I just ran to a dry stall in my towel) beautiful trails and quiet. All-star of our trip has to be Harlod he was super nice and informative we weren't going to make it to the gas station till he saved the day so thanks again guys we had a great time!
Went camping with a buddy of mine for two nights (had to cut it short to one night because of bad weather). The area was clean and peaceful. However, we stayed at campsite 168, and boy is it HILLY. This site is set on an incline and it really did not help us sleep that night. Trying to set up a chair close to the fire was rather hard too since you either felt like you were falling forward, sideways, or backward. Over all though, it wasn't terrible. I'd definitely go back but will have to make sure the plot we chose isn't at an angle.
Overall nice campgrounds and park. The campgrounds is one long winding road on a hill. Most camping pads are not suitable for RV or TT, very short, sloped and uneven. Road is tight and pad is tight. Larger rigs will have difficulty. During our stay the upper shower house was closed. The lower shower house and restroom were clean and well kept. We had heavy rains during our stay. The road at the entrance to the park flooded (not impassable), along with several other side roads and trail.
