This 128-acre state fishing lake is renowned for its excellent fishing opportunities, boasting healthy populations of largemouth bass, bream (bluegill and redear sunfish), crappie, and catfish. From an accessibility standpoint, Lake Mary Crawford is easily reachable from U.S. Highway 84, a major east-west route in southern Mississippi. This makes it a convenient destination for campers traveling from various parts of the state, including those coming from areas around Hattiesburg, Brookhaven, or even further afield. Despite its tranquil setting, the campground is not isolated, with the town of Monticello offering basic amenities such as gas stations and local stores, ensuring that campers have what they need within a short drive. However, there are established pricing tiers and potential long-term options that can be considered advantageous for locals.

Customer Reviews
Very quiet and pretty. Winter, but still had hot showers and hookups.
Quiet place to spend an afternoon.
Spent over a hundred dollars for just a few days of primitive camping, which is absolutely ridiculous in itself, but after being a day late for payment the goof working the site threatens to call the cops on us. I now see why there are never any tents out here. P.S. I paid cash. I doubt it all went where it needed.
It's beautiful out there!!! Very clean and friendly environment!!! Kids have blast fishing and just playing by the water...Great place for a fishing birthday party for kids!!
For fun relaxing, camping, grilling out or the exciting fishing trip, I recommend Lake Mary Crawford. Newly designed land piers for fishing makes the access much easier. Beautiful lake and the fish are bitting.
