Lakeview Campground lives up to its name, offering many sites with beautiful vistas that invite you to relax and unwind. While some aspects of the campground might present unique characteristics, as shared by past visitors, its proximity to the water and the overall clean, natural environment make it a compelling choice for your next Kansas camping trip. It's a place where campfires glow under a wide, starry sky, and the simple joys of camping are amplified by the natural beauty surrounding you.
Lakeview Campground is conveniently located within Perry State Park in Ozawkie, KS 66070, USA. Perry State Park itself is nestled in the forested rolling hills of northeast Kansas, on the southwestern shores of the impressive 12,500-acre Perry Lake. The park is easily accessible, approximately 18 miles northeast of Topeka, accessible via Highway 237 off US-24. This makes it a straightforward drive for residents across eastern Kansas, including those from the Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City metropolitan areas.
Upon arrival at Perry State Park, visitors will need to obtain a daily vehicle permit in addition to their camping permit, typically available at the park office or self-pay stations. While a significant portion of Perry State Park's roads are paved, campers should be aware that some internal campground roads or specific site approaches might be unpaved or present some inclines. Given that some sites are on a hillside, as noted by a previous guest, campers with longer trailers or RVs should exercise caution and be mindful of potential tight turns or the need for leveling equipment. Despite these considerations, the campground's direct access to the lake and its integrated position within the state park's extensive trail system make it highly accessible for a wide range of recreational activities.

Customer Reviews
The park is pretty. Close to the water. The sites are on a hillside and that was hard to tel from the photos with online reservation. No signs for one way travel or not, would hate to meet a truck and trailer going the opposite direction. Some tight turns for a longer 5th wheel RV. Had water and 50 amp, but no sewer. The shower house is “jail house style” as my daughter said. Wide open stalls, some with two shower heads in one stall, no curtains. No privacy. Nice playground. Park was clean.
Just a really beautiful spot. It was October, but warm and people were out enjoying campfires. The almost full moon rose over the lake and you could see without a flashlight!
Camping spots are nice and roomy. Not level. Great views . Wish they would do something about the spider infestation in the bathrooms. Yuck!
Clean, quiet, well-maintained, and scenic. Highly recommended.
Caught no fish that weekend
