For industrial workers and long-term RVers in Louisiana seeking a functional and conveniently located place to stay near the many plants and industries in the Plaquemine area, Levee View RV Park offers a unique solution. This park appears to be designed with the working individual in mind, providing essential amenities that cater to a busy schedule. While it may not be a resort-style vacation spot, its focus on utility and proximity to work sites makes it a valuable option for many Louisiana locals who are on assignment in the region.
Levee View RV Park, under the management described as running a "tight ship," aims to provide a structured environment for its residents. Its offerings, like the breakfast drive-thru and laundry service, are tailored to support those with demanding work schedules, setting it apart from more traditional recreational RV parks. Understanding these specific features, along with some of the operational nuances, is key for any prospective resident in Louisiana considering Levee View RV Park as their home away from home.
Levee View RV Park is conveniently located at 28220 LA-405, Plaquemine, LA 70764, USA. This address places it strategically close to many of the surrounding industrial plants, a significant advantage for workers in the area. Its proximity means less time spent commuting and more time for rest, a crucial factor for those working demanding shifts.
A key highlight of its location is its easy access to these industrial facilities and the avoidance of "the traffic hassle on LA-1," as noted by a reviewer. This makes daily travel much more manageable. While the park's internal roads are described as gravel, which can create a "dust bowl when it's dry," its overall accessibility from major roads leading to the plants remains a strong point. The location is also "not too far from town," allowing residents to access local amenities in Plaquemine when needed, balancing rural convenience with practical access to services here in Louisiana.
Levee View RV Park primarily operates with a clear pricing structure geared towards its target demographic of long-term residents, particularly industrial workers. As of June 6, 2024, the monthly rent is noted at $675.00, which a reviewer pointed out is "higher than most local campgrounds." This rate likely encompasses the essential services and the convenience of its location near the plants, rather than temporary promotional discounts. Specific "promotions" in the traditional sense are not explicitly advertised, as the park's value proposition seems to be its practicality and tailored services for a working clientele in Louisiana.
However, interested individuals in Louisiana should be aware of the park's policy regarding refunds: "If you have to leave for some reason, management will not reimburse or prorate your money. Once in hands.....you will not be getting nothing back." This is a critical point of information that prospective residents must understand before committing to a stay. While there aren't typical "special offers," the unique laundry service and on-site breakfast availability serve as practical benefits that might be considered part of the overall value proposition for a busy professional. The best way to confirm current rates and understand all policies, especially regarding payment and departures, is to directly contact Levee View RV Park via the provided phone numbers.

As suggested by previous residents, contacting Ms. Jean or the management directly is advisable for the most up-to-date information and to address any questions you may have before your arrival.
Levee View RV Park is highly suitable for a very specific segment of Louisiana locals: the industrial worker or long-term RVer prioritizing convenience, basic comfort, and a focus on essential services that support a busy work-life balance. Its designation as "more of a working man and woman's park" is key to understanding its suitability. For individuals working 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, the park's proximity to the plants around Plaquemine and the ability to avoid "the traffic hassle on LA-1" are invaluable time-savers, allowing for more rest between demanding shifts.
The unique amenities, such as the breakfast drive-thru and the laundry service (where clothes are washed and folded for you), are direct responses to the needs of its primary clientele. These services provide tangible benefits by freeing up precious time for workers who might otherwise struggle to manage daily chores. The concrete pads for campers and the reliable electrical and water hookups ensure a stable and functional living space, which is critical for long-term residents.
While some drawbacks, like the gravel roads and the lack of prorated refunds, are noted, they are part of the park's operational model. The absence of a bathhouse further underscores its targeting of self-contained RVs, which is common among working professionals living in their RVs. The consistent positive feedback for the manager, Ms. Jean, highlights a supportive environment where residents feel their immediate needs are addressed. Ultimately, for Louisiana locals involved in the industrial sector or those seeking a practical, no-frills, and highly convenient long-term RV spot tailored to a demanding schedule, Levee View RV Park stands out as a functional and supportive home base in the Plaquemine area.

Pros: The manager runs a tight ship. She will help you if you need anything. You have a concrete pad for your camper. The site does offer breakfast and ice for sale. Also offers a laundry service. The electrical and water hookups are nice. The park is convenient to the surrounding plants and not to far from town. Cons: one way driving. When you come into the camp site, you have to drive through the entire camp site to get out of the park. If you want to do laundry, it won't be there. Management does not allow you to wash your clothes there. Road around the entire site is gravel which is a dust bowl when it's dry. Rent is a lot higher than most local campgrounds at 675.00 a month as of 6-6-24. Wifi offered works sometimes, but mostly does not. If you have to leave for some reason, management will not reimburse or prorate your money. Once in hands.....you will not be getting nothing back. No bath house at this campground. All in all, I see this campground getting better with time, like everything else.
Jun 06, 2024 · Curtis SalleyMs Jean is awesome. The park is pretty quite, more of a working man and woman’s park. Has a breakfast drive thru, they’ll wash and fold your clothes when your to busy to do it. No other amenities but that’s ok when you’re working 7 days a week 10-12 hours a day. Easy access to the plants around Plaquemine and you do t have to deal with the traffic hassle on LA-1
Aug 14, 2024 · RickThe owners/management of this park are stellar. The price reflects the atmosphere of the park (all concrete, leveled slabs with room for multiple vehicles) and they are very friendly and welcoming. Rules are to be followed, but this park is dedicated to the working class, which makes it better. I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
Jun 18, 2024 · Aaron TaylorThey have a cockroach infestation and refuse to acknowledge it. Also charge way more than other sites in the area for nothing extra. No poo or extra amenities for the extra cost and they won’t even let you wash your own clothes. Manager called me twice in the morning hours waking me up (I was on night shift) to tell me about really non important matters.
Aug 05, 2024 · Julissa CornelioPlace was clean and quiet. But…No bathhouse. I was encouraged to prepay two weeks to save money (discounted rate) even though I told her that I planned to be there between 8 and 11 days. Finished my job in 9 days and asked for the difference returned. She claimed she couldn’t because once she makes a deposit the bank doesn’t let her withdraw. First time that has happened to me and I’ve been doing this for 18 years. I will likely stay somewhere else when I travel to Plaquemine for work.
