Location and Accessibility
LEWIS RV PARK is located at 601 S Edwards St, Lewis, KS 67552, USA. This address places the park in the small, charming town of Lewis, Kansas, a locale that offers a genuine taste of rural life. While the park is situated on a dirt road, guests consistently report that access is easy, even for those with a "toad" (towed vehicle) or larger rigs. It’s important to note a tip from previous travelers: when approaching from the north, it is advisable to avoid 24th Avenue, as it features a low-tonnage bridge unsuitable for RVs, requiring a significant detour. Calling ahead for the best directions is always a wise move to ensure a smooth arrival. The drive to Lewis itself is often described as enjoyable, offering scenic views of agricultural fields and a glimpse into the "real county" versus major highways, which adds to the overall experience. Despite its secluded feel, LEWIS RV PARK serves as a convenient and peaceful retreat when visiting nearby larger towns like Dodge City, known for its Old West history and attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring the region's diverse offerings.

Guests frequently mention the excellent value for money, with full hookups and a peaceful setting at a price that is hard to beat. While specific discounts aren't publicly listed, it's always advisable to contact them directly for current rates and to inquire about any potential savings for extended stays (weekly or monthly). Small campground with full hookup sites. It sits next to the local park which has play equipment for the kids. We intended to stay at 4 Acres but had to drive to Lewis to fuel up. Would stay again.
Aug 19, 2023 · B FerreeWorth the drive. Well maintained, quiet little park with a country feel located in a tiny residential area beside a great playground and playing field. (You can sit at your campsite and watch the kids play.) Some pull through sites. The park is on a dirt road but we had no problems getting in or out with our Toad. In fact, we came in after dark and Lorenzo was waiting to guide us in with his light! He helped us hook up too and said to call if we had problems. Nice guy. We enjoyed sitting outside in the quiet - there were so many stars! A cattle truck was parked nearby but the air smelled fresh and a bit sweet. Maybe some crop as we saw farmers working in fields as we drove to the park. Actually, the drive to the park was fun too. Interesting seeing a bit of the real county vs the major highways. The only slight con was the water is placed below ground in a wide pipe - the connection is about 8 inches down into the pipe. I hate reaching into holes! Everything else was perfect. We will return. Nice retreat when visiting Dodge City. I think it would be fabulous for families with young children too. Lots of safe room to play and be noisy without disturbing others! TIP: Some sites are darker than others as there is a security light at the corner. Next time we will ask to be farther from the light. Also, look for the cow painted shed :-)
Sep 26, 2021 · Vicki ASmall, no frills, but quite, level, clean, pleasant grassy park. Good electric and water pressure.
Jun 14, 2024 · Cynthia GaskillNice little RV park for what we needed. Electric and water. Park across the street. A little outdated, but you are in the middle of nowhere....soooo....only bad thing was there was a stock trailer dropped at the park and it smelled. I'm a farm girl, but not something I want to smell while I am sleeping. 🤢 It smelled way worse than a pasture lol.
Jun 26, 2021 · Whitney Frizellsome of the best people you could ever meet. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend this place to anyone who is passing through or needs a place for an rv park for extended stay
