Unlike typical state or private parks, camping at Lily Dale places you in an environment renowned for its tranquility and natural beauty. The facility caters to both tent campers and recreational vehicles (RVs), offering a range of sites from wooded, non-electric spots to more exposed sites with essential utility access. Operating seasonally, generally from late May through early September, it serves as the perfect base camp for exploring Western New York's beautiful landscapes, from the serene Chautauqua Lake region to the historic and peaceful atmosphere of the Lily Dale grounds themselves.
The commitment here is to a simple, functional camping experience. While it may not feature the extensive modern resort amenities of some larger RV parks, it offers the fundamental necessities and, crucially, a peaceful atmosphere that is often hard to find. The focus is on providing an affordable, conveniently located space where New Yorkers can set up camp, recharge, and enjoy the local surroundings, all within easy walking distance of a unique cultural institution.
Lily Dale Campgrounds is centrally and uniquely situated at 18 South St, Lily Dale, NY 14752, USA. This address places it directly within the grounds of the Lily Dale Assembly, a notable community in Western New York known for its spiritual and educational focus. The location offers excellent accessibility for campers traveling from across the state and surrounding regions, and once you are pitched, everything within the community is easily reachable.
The accessibility is one of the campground’s greatest features for local users. Being within the small Lily Dale community means that key attractions and conveniences are just a couple of minutes’ walk away. Campers can easily stroll to the Maplewood Hotel for reservations, visit the community’s various centers, or embark on a nature hike. Specifically, the campground is noted for its extremely close proximity to the Leolyn Nature Trail, making it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts who want immediate access to hiking and forest immersion without needing to drive.
However, local users traveling with larger RVs should be mindful of the infrastructure. Reviews suggest that the internal roads are narrow, and some tree growth needs maintenance, which requires careful navigation. The drive-in access is simple, but maneuvering a large vehicle within the grounds demands caution. An important note for all guests is that the Lily Dale Assembly grounds typically require a separate gate pass fee, which is an additional charge to the camping fee, highlighting the unique nature of this campground’s location.

I was pleasantly surprised.😄 You have just the left and right side. On the left the sites are in the woods with a picnic table. The sites on the right seem to be the ones with electric and are exposed. Quiet! No road noise. Just a camper was running something constantly so you heard that, but it wasn't to bad. Clean port a potty. Unfortunately, there's not much separation between sites. Thankfully the sites on either side of me were empty when I was there. I did not have a reservation when I first came here. I want to the camping area and found a spot I'd like then went to the Maplewood Hotel to make the reservation. $22 for non electric. Most of the sites were available. It's within walking distance to everything. Couple minute walk to the Leolyn Nature Trail. 🤓
Aug 05, 2025 · Karen SNo full hook up sites for RV . There is a dump station on the way out. Roads are very narrow, so be careful. Trees are overgrown, and a few are dead on sites 1 & 2 . Dead limbs hanging over the sites and power lines. Need trimming . Other than that it was a very nice place to stay.
