Based on typical campground practices and the diverse offerings at Lucky Lake, Michigan locals might find various incentives:

I helped with the cleanup after the electric forest and it's cool to manage the group of us but a little organization would be amazing, instead of a bunch of 20 year olds having their own thoughts on how it should be done 12 different ways! Also you get that group who's just strolling along shooting the breeze with their buddies and not working but expecting to get the same pay as the people who are working( and they did get paid the same as the working folks) guess those people were friends of one or more of the " managers" if you will! It was kinda like being back in middle school :(( maybe under different circumstances it is a nice place to be!

This really is a beautiful campground. Most of the roads are now graveled. We camped in a wooded area not near the lake but it was nice to be able to have that quiet space. Beautiful bicycling space. I would recommend

We stayed at lucky lake this weekend for our very first camping trip with the kids. My kids are 5 and 2 and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We spent most of our time in the shallow lake, perfect for the kids. They loved the playground so much. The owners made sure to keep us spaced out and not to close to the other campers near us. We stayed in the rustic sites with no electrical or water hookup, but porter potties were provided and were as clean as you can expect an outside toilet to be lol. The gentleman owner was always readily available for ice and wood purchases and was seen riding around in his golf cart most the day making sure the facility was clean and making sure everyone was having a good time. He clearly cares about his camp and his guests experience.

The only reason I am giving this campground a 2/5 is because it is beautiful and the water is so clear. We got to pick our (rustic) site upon arrival. We experienced nothing but good. Now, onto the negative experience. We were kayaking when all of the sudden the owner (Don) sped his pontoon boat up to the dock where a larger family was playing. Instead of asking them nicely to move a floating doc back he yelled and swore at the family in front of MANY kids. He revved his engine at them while kids were in the water next to his boat. He drove his boat around continuing to yell and swear at them. He then grabbed a metal pole and pointed it at a mother and her small child. The family was trying to cooperate but he was being extremely inappropriate. Not as bad but when I called ahead he was pretty rude as well. If you are looking for a pretty campground to kayak and swim at I highly recommend. However, be aware of this owner because (reading the reviews) he is extremely unprofessional.

Great spot for lakeside camping. Plenty of gorgeous lakeside sites. Lake is fresh. Management is friendly and takes good care of the place. Potties were clean and maintained daily. Showers were spacious and clean. Gets a bit of noise from freeway and occasionally the racetrack but was mostly quiet, especially overnight. There are sites away from the freeway if you desire. Other campers were friendly and courteous. Looking forward to going here again!
