Martin's Pier II is celebrated by its long-time patrons for its exceptional management and consistent improvements—a testament to its dedication to quality camping and marina services. The community here is the main draw, as the campground operates predominantly as a seasonal park. Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
Martin's Pier II Campgrounds & Marina is perfectly tailored for New York State residents, especially those in the Upstate region, who are searching for a true, long-term summer escape. Its suitability is driven by two key factors: the strong, community-focused seasonal model and the exceptional integration with marine services.
For many New Yorkers, having a seasonal site here offers the benefits of a summer home—permanence, community, and personalization—without the corresponding tax and maintenance burden of property ownership. The high satisfaction rate and the noted waiting list are evidence that the management fosters an outstanding environment, creating what is described as one of the best and yet "least known" parks in the region.
Moreover, as a combined campground and full-service marina, it eliminates the logistics headaches common to many waterfront vacations. Boaters have immediate access to dockage, repairs, fuel, and supplies, allowing them to spend more time enjoying the fishing and cruising for which the Thousand Islands are famous. Martin's Pier II, situated on the tranquil Mud Bay, offers an authentic, high-quality, and reliable gateway to the best of New York’s summer waterfront—making it an ideal, recurring family destination for local users.

This place is great, there’s a reason they have a waiting list. We have a seasonal site here and it doesn’t get much better than this. They have everything you need and want for being on the water. The marina is nice with a good boat ramp and extra parking as well!
Mar 14, 2025 · Paul StarkThis is a camp by seasonal campground right on Mud Bay, Cape Vincent, NY. We used to stay here when our boys were school age and the improvements they have made makes this campground one of the least known yet the best park in the region. I'd rather keep it quiet but they deserve the accolades.
