For Texans, the ease of reaching a destination is often as important as the destination itself. Hemphill, while a smaller town in Sabine County, serves as a gateway to the Toledo Bend area, offering necessary local services and a charming small-town vibe. The campground's address means direct access to the lake, which is invaluable for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. The surrounding Sabine National Forest provides additional opportunities for leisurely strolls or overnight hikes, catering to those who love to explore on land.

Customer Reviews
We so enjoyed our stay so much we plan on brining our family back for a weekend . Loved the area and surrounding restaurants and things to do . Walked into our cabin rental and wow the smell and cleanness of our place amazing. We enjoyed the fishing and the friendly people we met why fishing …
This is our new “secret hideaway”! This perfectly-sized cabin-for-two with a covered porch and firepit, faces Toledo Bend Reservoir, with a view that slows and quiets the mind-traffic in your head. The trees offer plenty of shade and a stage for the choir of birds singing their songs. The clean cabin was furnished and decorated as to prompt relaxation. The queen-sized mattress was more comfortable than most luxury hotels I’ve stayed in. The shower is probably my favorite part of this cabin! The water pressure and flow is spa-like and therapeutic! The climate control was perfect! The kitchen provided everything we needed in the way of utensils, dishes, coffee pot, etc., with a refrigerator that exuded a yesteryear flair of 1950’s nostalgia. Every bit of space was optimally used. We loved it!! If you are searching for a small, cozy, comfortable cabin-for-two on the lake, look no further! The character of this cabin ensures that fond memories will be made, and if you’re lucky, a rainstorm will fall on the tin roof while you sleep in this perfect place!
We love our stay at Mid lake campground We relaxed and fished and it was peaceful too. We will be back ! #muchneededsummerbreak
It was great! We had a wonderful family get together for Easter. The cabin was very spacious, clean, and well stocked with cooking appliances. The porch was large with a nice seating area and a gorgeous view of the lake! There was also a grocery store not too far away and the fishing was fantastic!
Easiest 5 star I’ve ever given. These cabins are amazing. The first thing I noticed upon entering the cabin is how clean it was and how well it has been kept. A queen size bed and a pair of bunk beds stand guard over the entrance. Gently welcoming you to experience the fully stocked kitchen. When I say fully stocked I mean every pot and pan you might need, glasses (tall and short) plates, saucers, bowls coffee cups silverware coffee maker microwave full size refrigerator. The only thing you need to add is food. I can’t rave enough about how relaxing and refreshed I feel after spending a weekend here. I highly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed..
