Customer Reviews
Just came back home from camping here. It was our first time there. I was impressed how clean the cabins are. Everything is supplied , plenty of linens, towels, all the right utensils, coffee maker and ice cold fridge. Everything seem new or newer. Plenty of space for us. Beds are comfortable and no bed bugs. The cabins sit on lakeside with a view of the lake And close to the convenience, store restaurants and beach. They have golf cart rentals with golf cart trails that are over 7 miles long. They had live entertainment with bingo and a live band. That was awesome. The owner Melissa is super attentive and kind. Donna cleans these cabins so well I’m sure you will not be disappointed in the level of cleanliness! The restaurant food was delicious, we tried their pickle pizza and I have to say, you just got to get it and try it. I loved it. They have good French fries and Cobb salad too. This camp ground is a gem that is adventurous and relaxing. I read some reviews about prices but everything has gone up. All our regular camping places are tripled since COVID but I time with family and making memories are always money well spent.
We made this drive 3 times this summer a little over an hour from us. My family loves going and swimming and feeding the fish. The water is so clear you can see your feet even when you're out in the deep water. Everyone is required to wear life jackets. You may want to wear a shirt because it will rub your skin raw. First time we went over the summer, everything seemed fine except the inflatables weren't blown up properly, which became a safety hazard. My 7 year old daughter fell from the top of the slide about 12-15ft down face first, and there wasn't no life guard around. The slide was so packed that even a child weighing 50lbs made it dent down. I said something, and they sent 2 life guards down who didn't do anything they just stood there talking while 2 more kids got hurt. When we went back the next weekend there was more air added. We went back 2 more times, and my kids didn't play on the inflatables they just played in the water and sand... except for the trampoline. There is a nice shelter to have lunch with swings that are always a big hit. The slide wasn't going this summer so that was a bummer. They do have a food truck. My friend bought food from the little store and shirts from the little store she said food wasn't good but the shirts are nice quality and decently priced. Music was hit and miss out of the 3 times this summer they only had music playing one time. I really feel like they should have more inflatables.
Did a wedding reception there and everyone treated us great. Wanted us to come back and DJ the next weekend but it's just too far away for us. Thanks for the hospitality.
My friend’s family camps here every summer, and has their own camper down there. Every-time I’ve been there has been so incredibly fun and a great experience. All of the worker’s are very nice, the place is nice and has so many fun things to do. Swimming at the beach is very fun especially with all the inflatables. Also just going out on the boat and enjoying the view, fishing, or just swimming is very fun. Love the trails and riding the golf cart around the campsite, meeting new people and making friends. Lots of other kids there, it is great. The park is amazing, basketball and volleyball courts, and sometimes they even have an inflatable trampoline sort of thing blown up that is fun to jump around on. The camp store has all sorts of things you might need, plus the staff is very helpful. They also have very fun events on certain days or holidays like 4th of July, Halloween, and sometimes a band playing, etc. Overall I’ve had great experiences and highly suggest going here. I’ve read the other reviews and people seem to have trouble when staying in the cabins which I have never done or seen. But camping out in your own camper is fun.
This resort has so much potential. We are first year campers and there is so much we love. There are things that could be better (like any business - we don't expect perfection). I wish the 'quiet times' would be enforced. There seems to be a laissez-faire attitude about some rules. I understand that the new owners are making many changes so we may have arrived at the right time. We hope to spend many years here enjoying our summer lake view campsite! The resort store is pretty cool. Nicely stocked. The new golf cart trails are super fun. If you are looking for fun you can find it at Mineral Springs. We are looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy the crystal clear water!!!!!
