The Minong Wild River Trail Campground is perfectly positioned at 832 Railroad St, Minong, WI 54859, USA. This location is not just an address; it's a direct gateway to adventure. Minong is a small village in Washburn County, Wisconsin, known for its strong connection to outdoor recreation, particularly its extensive network of ATV, UTV, and snowmobile trails. The campground’s name itself, "Wild River Trail," highlights its primary appeal: it is literally "Right on the trail" system. Specifically, it offers direct access to the Wild River Trail, which connects to a vast network of hundreds of miles of multi-use trails that crisscross Northern Wisconsin.
Accessibility to Minong is straightforward, as it's located near major thoroughfares like US Highway 53, which runs north-south through the state. This makes it an easy drive for residents coming from various parts of Wisconsin, whether from cities further south like Eau Claire or from the Duluth/Superior metropolitan area to the north. The campground's address on Railroad Street also implies its historical connection to the village's development, and its in-town location means that basic amenities, such as gas stations, local eateries, and a grocery store, are typically within easy reach, offering convenience without sacrificing the feeling of being immersed in the Northwoods. The easy access directly to the trail system from the campground means less time trailering and more time riding, a significant advantage for ATV/UTV enthusiasts.
Minong Wild River Trail Campground focuses on providing essential and highly valued services for outdoor enthusiasts, ensuring a comfortable and practical stay:
- Campsites: The campground offers dedicated sites for both tents and RVs. Reviewers specifically mention a very affordable rate for tent camping, indicating it's a budget-friendly option.
- Modern Restrooms with Flush Toilets: A significant highlight praised by guests is the availability of "very nice bathroom" facilities equipped with flush toilets, a comfort not always found at all campgrounds.
- Hot Showers: The campground provides hot showers, available for a small fee ("$1 for a 5 minute hot shower"), which is a welcome amenity after a day on the trails.
- Pavilion: A "Nice close pavilion" is available, offering a sheltered space for campers to gather, eat, or seek refuge from rain or sun.
- Direct Trail Access: A key service is its unparalleled "easy access" directly to the Wild River Trail system, eliminating the need to trailer vehicles long distances to reach the trails.
- Well-Kept Facility: The campground is consistently described as a "well kept facility," indicating a commitment to cleanliness and general maintenance of the grounds and amenities.
- Quiet Environment: Despite its direct trail access, the campground maintains a "Clean and quiet" atmosphere, allowing for peaceful relaxation after active days.

Minong Wild River Trail Campground boasts several key features and highlights that make it a standout choice, especially for the ATV/UTV community:
- Premier ATV/UTV Access: Its most prominent feature is its "Right on the trail" location. This direct access to the vast Wild River Trail system is unparalleled, making it an "Excellent choice for ATV/UTV Campground" as described by enthusiastic users.
- Affordability: At just "$10 for a tent" (as noted in a review), the campground offers exceptional value, making it an accessible option for budget-conscious travelers and groups.
- Clean and Modern Facilities: The "very nice bathroom and showers" with "flush toilets" and "hot showers" are consistently highlighted. These amenities provide a level of comfort often associated with higher-priced campgrounds, making them a significant draw.

- Well-Maintained and Quiet Environment: Despite its popularity among trail riders, the campground is noted for being "Clean and quiet" and a "well kept facility," indicating that management prioritizes a pleasant and orderly experience for all guests.

- Reputational "Score": The consistent positive feedback, with one reviewer calling it a "Great score of a campground," reinforces its high standing among its user base.
As a county or municipally-managed campground (often the case for trail-centric facilities), Minong Wild River Trail Campground typically operates on a straightforward pricing structure rather than complex promotional deals. However, its inherent affordability acts as a significant "special offer" in itself:
- Highly Affordable Rates: The $10 tent camping fee, as noted in a review, represents an exceptionally competitive price point for a campground offering flush toilets and hot showers. This baseline affordability is a continuous benefit for budget-conscious travelers.
- Value for Amenities: The small $1 fee for a 5-minute hot shower also highlights the park's commitment to providing sought-after amenities at a very reasonable cost, maximizing value for campers.
- Seasonal Passes/Discounts (Potential): While not explicitly stated, some trail-oriented campgrounds might offer multi-night discounts or seasonal passes for very frequent visitors. It is always a good idea to inquire directly about any such programs if you plan extended or repeated stays.
- Off-Peak Season Advantages: During non-peak seasons (e.g., late fall, early spring), the campground might experience lower occupancy, potentially offering a quieter experience or easier access to sites without formal "promotions."
For the most accurate and up-to-date pricing and any potential special offers, it is always recommended to contact the Washburn County Forestry Department or the Minong Village office directly, as they often oversee such public facilities. Information might also be posted on local tourism websites.

Customer Reviews
Right on the trail, very nice bathroom and showers, easy access! Excellent choice for ATV/UTV Campground
Great score of a campground. $10 for a tent. Nice close pavilion to get out of the rain. $1 for a 5 minute hot shower. Flush toilets. Well kept facility. Clean and quiet. Across the street from the trail. Definitely worth staying at again.
Nice campground with beautiful well maintained 4 wheeler trails.
The campground has full hookups and is right on the trail. The price is very nice! Unfortunately they ripped out all of the trees recently in order to expand the campground. We were a little disappointed in that. No shade for our campsites anymore. But I understand growth. We would still return. Nice and quiet even with being on the trail.
Great place, I would recomend that they cut down the waste water systems as they are 12-16" higher than ground level. our waste water would not drain. Simple fix.. nice quiet place, if you own a atv or utv and want to camp, this is the place for you.. you will be right on the wild rivers trail...
