Let me start off by saying that my 3 star rating is considered as Average. The staff was very friendly. The RV sites closest to the road are sloped, however, they are a good size. The recreation building is beautiful. We were afraid to sit at the high top chairs because they are very unstable. The pool sticks are all warped and some of the balls have chunks missing out of them. The ping pong ball was flat on one side and the paddles are in awful condition. There are games, puzzles and books for your enjoyment. There are nice fenced areas for the dogs to use. We stayed due to the close proximity to the Springs, just a couple of miles down the road. Overall we had a relaxing time.
Jun 07, 2025 · Linda BedfordRedefining camping at its best by offering a central lodge for activities and meetups. If you are a paying visitor of legal age you can even bring beverages. The restrooms and showers along with the gift shop are also located at the lodge. The lodge is grand and maintains its fresh cut wood smell. Truthfully to some it will seem out of place for Florida, most campsites have pool and bath at best and maybe a small clubhouse. The sites locations are decent too. The graveled section of the park seems pretty level. The northwestern side close to hwy27 is not as prepared and some sites are not leveled. All but a few select sites are in the hot sun most of the day. Hwy 27 has trails and off-road action taking place right across the street. This is not affiliated with the travel park but it can be a disturbance at night. Final thoughts; there is no place else like it! Come see for yourself. Tent sites and yurts are also available.
Apr 29, 2025 · Kenneth Haworth (nowspherethis)An Unforgettable Family Camping Experience! Our recent stay in the air-conditioned tents offered the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and creature comforts. Even with temperatures soaring to 95 degrees, the tents remained remarkably comfortable thanks to the two dedicated AC units in each. As the sun set and the evening cooled to a pleasant 80 degrees, the tents became incredibly refreshing – a true oasis in the heat of June. We opted to rent four tents, providing each household in our family group with their own private and spacious accommodation. This setup ensured everyone had ample room and a truly comfortable experience. The excellent Wi-Fi connectivity was an added bonus, allowing us to stay connected when needed. The grounds were meticulously maintained and impressively clean, as were the bathrooms. While cleaning supplies were already provided, we appreciated the convenience of having our own to tidy up during our four-day stay. The staff consistently demonstrated exceptional courtesy and made us feel genuinely safe and welcome throughout our visit. What truly set this camping experience apart was its proximity to the lake, just a four-minute drive away. It was the ideal way to enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. Witnessing our 8-year-olds abandon their tablets to eagerly embrace the playground and sandbox was a testament to the engaging environment. We couldn't have asked for a better camping trip!
Jun 08, 2025 · Renell MckiverEverything about Moonshine Acres was exactly as described in their Website. Service was excellent, RV sites were spacious and well maintained. Showers clean, modern while still maintaining the rustic park feel. The large Log Cabin guest area offers a great selection of things to do, or if you prefer just relax. Everyone worked as a team to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible. Keep up the good work. Ed & I highly recommend Moonshine Acres RV Park.
