New Hampshire locals know that camping in the White Mountains is an essential part of the Granite State summer experience. However, for families looking to blend the solitude of a deep woods getaway with the fun and convenience of a full-scale resort, the Moose Hillock Camping Resort in Warren, NH, offers a truly unique option. Situated on 90 unspoiled acres, surrounded by the vastness of the White Mountain National Forest, this destination has carved out a niche as a high-amenity "glamping" experience focused on large, private sites and an incredible aquatic feature.
Moose Hillock prides itself on offering what it calls the “Largest and Most Private Campsites in the Northeast.” This focus on space and seclusion, combined with a host of clean, family-friendly facilities, makes it an attractive choice for New Hampshire residents who want to truly get away from their neighbors, even in a busy camping season. Note on Connectivity: It is important for locals accustomed to constant connection to know that reliable cellular service and high-speed Wi-Fi are often limited at individual campsites due to the remote, mountainous location. Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for New Hampshire Locals
For New Hampshire locals, Moose Hillock Camping Resort offers the perfect blend of escape and entertainment. As residents, we appreciate the beauty of our mountains, and Moose Hillock delivers a deep-woods feel with its enormous, private sites nestled among the trees. At the same time, it solves the classic summer challenge of keeping the entire family entertained.
This resort is ideal for the local family that owns a large RV or trailer and wants to spend an entire week in one spot, rather than hopping from attraction to attraction. The stunning Blue Lagoon pool and the constant rotation of activities mean parents can relax while the kids have a massive, safe, and fun environment to explore. While it may be a bit further to drive and priced higher than a basic state park, the value lies in the exceptional on-site amenities and the unmatched campsite privacy—a true luxury in the peak camping season. Moose Hillock allows Granite Staters to enjoy a top-tier family vacation experience, with the White Mountain National Forest as their exclusive, beautiful backdrop.

This may be a good place, depending on what you are looking for, but not for us. If you are looking for a place that is pretty far off the beaten path and nearly twice as expensive as other locations, this could be for you. The amenities are solid for families. Pool is awesome for kids. Our power mound had challenges frequently below 104v resulting in power shut off to protect the RV. I understand why some people like the place due to size and amenities. The sites are huge, plenty of space. Fire pit was fantastic. The management was very friendly.
Aug 16, 2025 · Blake NWent in late September. Very quiet. Great campsites! The pool was closed but looks like a lot of fun in the summer especially with the kids! Everyone working here were great and very helpful We look forward to coming back next year
Sep 26, 2025 · Bob NoedingThe site was beautiful and large. We loved the walk in pool and the kids had a blast with the water slides. There is a camp cafe right by the pool for some food and ice cream. The hiking trails were nice. It is not close to many stores and the camp store is pricey, so keep that in mind if you forget something.
Aug 07, 2025 · Heather MontignyWe stayed in an RV. Our RV is 43 feet and even with all that we still had a HUGE site! The stone was nice, the firepit was beautiful! Zero bugs.HUGE PLUS (They must spray) the kids 7,9,14 all had a blast between the activities, pool and just exploring. All interactions with any worker was very pleasant! The place is absolutely gorgeous and clean! We will be back!
Jul 08, 2025 · D JVery large, fully wooded sites that offer more privacy than any other campground we've ever been to, and cabins for those not RVing or tenting. The true hidden treasure is the nature trail by the bridge, with beautiful waterfalls, quietly hidden away a very short walk from the hustle and bustle of the gigantic heated pool. We had an issue with a neighboring site's unleashed dogs and the owner, Joe, was very willing to step in on our behalf, as well as offering to move our site and offer free late checkout (we declined both but appreciated the offers). His pride of ownership is abundantly clear, and his warm personality makes you feel at ease. This isn't our first stay here, and will definitely not be our last. Cell services leaves a lot to be desired, but also forces you to step away from the screens and enjoy the surroundings.
