Morrilton RV Park About

For Arkansans on the move or seeking a straightforward and friendly place to stay, Morrilton RV Park offers a practical solution right off the main interstate. While it's recognized as an established park with a few signs of age, its enduring appeal lies in its prime location and the genuinely warm reception provided by its staff. If you're traveling through Central Arkansas with your RV, or need an affordable, convenient overnight stay, Morrilton RV Park provides a no-fuss option designed to meet your basic needs.

Morrilton RV Park caters to a diverse range of travelers, from those just "passing through" for a single night to a significant number of "full-time residents" who have made it their home base. This blend creates a unique, lived-in atmosphere. While some areas might show their age, the park excels in key areas that matter most to travelers: a fantastic location for accessibility, clean essential facilities, and, most importantly, truly "friendly, down to earth staff." It's these human connections that often elevate a simple overnight stop into a pleasant memory.

The park also offers a distinctive feature: affordable cabins for overnight stays, providing an alternative for those without an RV or seeking a different experience. This versatility underscores Morrilton RV Park’s commitment to serving various traveler needs. While there's potential for ongoing updates and leveling, the core experience remains consistent: convenience, cleanliness where it counts, and commendable hospitality, making it a reliable option for your next journey in the Arkansas River Valley.

Location and Accessibility

Morrilton RV Park boasts an undeniably excellent location at 30 Kamper Ln, Morrilton, AR 72110, USA. Its most significant advantage is its direct proximity to Interstate 40, one of Arkansas's primary east-west transportation corridors. This makes it incredibly accessible for RVers traveling across the state, offering a convenient exit and entry point that minimizes detours and maximizes travel efficiency.

Morrilton, a welcoming city in Conway County, is strategically positioned between major Arkansas hubs like Little Rock to the east and Fort Smith to the west. This central location makes Morrilton RV Park an ideal stopover for those on longer journeys, serving as a natural break point. For locals, it could also serve as a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions without venturing too far from main routes.

Access within the park is generally straightforward, accommodating a wide range of RV sizes. As one reviewer noted, even a "45 ft long fifth wheel" could fit, and spaces were "wide." However, it's worth noting that internal roads and some spaces may "need leveling out" and could have "potholes and rocks." This suggests that while access is feasible, cautious navigation might be required for larger rigs. Despite these minor internal challenges, the overall ease of getting to and from the interstate is a major draw, complemented by its "safe location within walking distance to a convenience store," adding to the practical accessibility for all guests.

For those using the cabins, the close access to showers and bathrooms is another testament to the park's focus on essential accessibility. The blend of excellent external accessibility and decent internal maneuverability makes Morrilton RV Park a highly convenient choice for any traveler passing through or staying in the region.

  • Clean Restrooms and Showers: A significant service highlight is the cleanliness of the men's bathroom and shower, as confirmed by a recent visitor. While the women's facilities were not specifically reviewed, the commitment to clean public amenities is a strong positive.

  • Overnight Cabin Rentals: A unique offering, the park provides cabins for overnight stays at an affordable price (e.g., "$45"). These cabins offer "parking, front porch, and close access to showers and bathroom," serving as a great alternative for those without an RV or seeking a different type of stay.

  • Friendly Management and Staff: Consistently praised, the "woman manager was very nice and helpful," and overall staff are described as "friendly, down to earth." This human element significantly enhances the guest experience.

While the park is acknowledged as "old and needs some updating," the core services are functional and delivered with commendable hospitality. Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided information, Morrilton RV Park does not explicitly advertise ongoing "promotions or special offers" in the traditional sense, such as percentage discounts or seasonal bundles commonly found at larger, more resort-style RV parks. However, its affordability, particularly for the cabin rentals, inherently acts as a significant "special offer" in itself.

The cabin offering, at "only $45" for an overnight stay, represents exceptional value for travelers, especially those who might otherwise seek budget motel rooms or are simply looking for a simple, convenient place to rest. This pricing model effectively functions as a continuous promotion, making the park highly attractive to budget-conscious individuals and families.

For RV site rates, direct contact is the best way to inquire about pricing, as rates can vary based on site type, length of stay, and utility hookups. While not explicitly stated, some RV parks that accommodate "full-time residents" often offer reduced weekly or monthly rates for extended stays, which could be considered an ongoing value proposition for those needing longer-term accommodation.

The woman manager was very nice and helpful. We we're passing through so we stayed one night. The place is old and needs some updating but the men's bathroom and shower were clean. I didn't use the women's so not sure about that. We have a 45 ft long fifth wheel which we did fit into and the space was wide but the roads and spaces need leveling out. Way too many potholes and rocks. Looks like a lot of full-time residents. No one bothered us. Location is great right off the I-40. Gave 3 star because of the manager and the location. Would stay again only if last option.

Friendly, down to earth staff and safe location within walking distance to a convenience store. I stayed in a cabin overnight and it was only $45. There was parking, front porch, and close access to showers and bathroom. Only thing to know—if you stay in a cabin you should bring your own pillow/blankets/sheets. The mattresses have covers but no bedding.

Paid 1050 to live here month to month. Lived here 2 months, gave them a 30 day notice, deep cleaned the place before I left and they took my whole deposit and charged me an extra 500. They said it was because they couldn't rent it out until a month later. Which has nothing to do with me! Really nasty place with bad management and rude staff. They came in and took pictures 2 days before my move out date and used that as "evidence". We were in the process of moving, it's going to be messy! The place was spotless when we left. I have proof but no lawyers in morrilton will work against them. Sad .I tried to bring up my concerns once and she threatened to call the cops on me. A bunch of crackheads here. They seen I had money and took advantage. Awful disgraceful place. Very disappointed.

This Campgound needs tons of TLC. Lots of permanent residents in run down RV’s and cabins. RV sites definitely attention....tall grass & weeds growing up around the electric, sewer & water pedestals (The water spigot on our site was busted). Wilds cats and loose dogs running around...which made me uncomfortable walking my two small dogs. The entrance road was in the Sunoco parking lot which is very confusing. Lastly the exit road had a huge rut. Sign states its a Good Sam park? Maybe Good Sam needs to revisit this place. We paid $35 to stay the night which is cheaper that most...?

Was ok for overnight stop just off interstate. But could definitely use some maintenance. The outlet on my spot was melted. Fortunately the spot next to us was empty and the plug was ok. So I was able to use it.
