My wife and I didn’t actually stay there. In fact, we had just stayed at a nearby state park campground, but we needed assistance with some local logistics. Amanda was super friendly and helpful and went out of her way to assist us, even though we had not been guests of the park. She absolutely helped make the rest of our day in Newport a great one. If this is indicative of their service, I can only imagine how nice it would be to stay at that park. Which we will do next time we are in that area…
Sep 17, 2025 · Mitch Moore Actor-FilmmakerSuch a convenient location; it's like being in town, yet removed from it. All the shops you could want within two miles. We stayed here for the Newport Jazz Festival and couldn't have been happier with the location. Even a vineyard within 15 minutes, as well as a beach! Park staff are all wonderful!
Aug 10, 2025 · Alan TolertonIt is more like a 3.5 stars. The staff is amazing and friendly. They have a variety of site choices. You can be surrounded by trees or in the wide open. The sites are nice and level. They have a small playground but that's about it. There is the biggest dog park I've ever seen just down the street... your dog will love it. It belongs to the city. They have a big pavilion with picnic tables. Something I wasn't expecting was the low price for doing laundry... only $3.50 to wash and dry!! It is pricey considering there isn't much in the way of amenities.
Jun 13, 2025 · Jimmy OBe careful! Had reservation made with our motorhome and on last trip had mechanical issue and won't have it back before. Had to cancel and lost 1/2 our money we paid because it was 10 days, not 14 prior to our reservation. Money maker for them! Chose wisely.
Aug 04, 2025 · Paul CutlerGreat place to stay! So friendly and helpful and clean!! Located so close to all the cool RI towns for day trips. Will definitely stay here again when back!!
