Palm Terrace About
For Floridians seeking an affordable, stable, and community-oriented place to call home, mobile home parks often present an attractive living solution. In Bunnell, Florida, Palm Terrace stands out as a well-regarded manufactured home community that offers a comfortable and convenient lifestyle. Dispelling preconceived notions, Palm Terrace aims to provide a clean, quiet, and welcoming environment that many residents come to appreciate as their long-term home. This article will explore what makes Palm Terrace a suitable choice for locals looking to settle down in Flagler County, from its strategic location to its community features.
Mobile home parks, also known as manufactured home communities, have become a vital part of Florida's housing landscape. They offer a unique pathway to homeownership and community living, often at a more accessible price point than traditional site-built homes. Residents typically own their manufactured home and lease the land it sits on, providing a blend of personal property ownership with shared community amenities. Palm Terrace in Bunnell embodies this model, striving to create a harmonious and well-maintained environment for its residents. The park's commitment to improvements, as noted by visitors, speaks to an ongoing effort to enhance the living experience for everyone.
Palm Terrace is conveniently located at 2250 Old Moody Blvd #16, Bunnell, FL 32110, USA. This address places it in a highly accessible area of Bunnell, the county seat of Flagler County. Its proximity to significant local landmarks is a notable advantage: it's located "directly across from the Flagler County Courthouse & Government building." This central location means residents have easy access to civic services, and the presence of a "F.D. very close bye" (Fire Department) is a significant reassurance for safety and rapid response in emergencies, particularly for older residents or those with medical conditions, as one reviewer pointed out.
For Floridians, the park's location offers excellent connectivity. Bunnell itself is a growing city that maintains a small-town feel while still providing essential amenities. Being in Flagler County means residents are just a short drive—approximately 5 miles, as mentioned in some listings—from the beautiful beaches of Flagler Beach. Major highways and roads nearby provide straightforward access to larger cities like Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, and even historic St. Augustine to the north. This strategic positioning allows residents to enjoy the tranquility of a community setting while having convenient access to shopping, dining, medical facilities, and the diverse recreational opportunities that Florida's east coast offers.
- Mobile Home Lot Rentals: Palm Terrace primarily offers lots for lease where residents can place their manufactured homes. This provides a flexible and often more affordable housing option.
- Utility Hookups: Essential utilities, including water, sewer, and electrical hookups, are available at each lot, ensuring residents have immediate access to necessary services. Some listings even mention that internet (500 speed router included) and water, sewer, and trash services are covered within the additional fees on top of base lot rent.
- On-Site Management: While not explicitly detailed, the positive reviews regarding the "nice place to live" and ongoing "improvements" suggest active and responsive on-site management dedicated to maintaining the community.
- Community Maintenance: The positive feedback about the "surprisingly clean place" indicates that the park management actively maintains common areas, roads, and overall infrastructure, contributing to a pleasant living environment.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: Palm Terrace is noted as being pet-friendly, allowing residents to live with their beloved pets (typically with some restrictions, such as one dog and one cat, 35 lbs max, according to some listings).
- Clean and Well-Maintained: A significant highlight consistently mentioned by residents is the park's cleanliness. Despite previous worries, visitors have found it to be a "surprisingly clean place," which speaks volumes about the community's upkeep.
- Quiet Neighborhood: Residents appreciate the "nice place to live if you enjoy mobile home living" and the generally quiet atmosphere. This contributes to a peaceful and relaxing living environment.
- Safety Enhancements: The presence of speed bumps, while sometimes a minor inconvenience, is seen as a crucial safety feature by residents, effectively "keeping the place safe" by deterring fast drivers. This commitment to resident safety is a strong positive.
- Community-Oriented: The fact that "Several friends and church members live in this neighborhood" suggests a strong sense of community and neighborly interaction, which is a key appeal of mobile home park living.
- On-Site Lake: The park features a lake, offering a serene view and potentially opportunities for fishing or peaceful strolls, adding to the natural ambiance of the community.
- Proximity to Essential Services: Being directly across from the Flagler County Courthouse and Government building, and very close to a Fire Department, provides residents with immediate access to vital services and enhances a sense of security.
- Access to Coastal Attractions: Palm Terrace's location is just minutes away from Flagler Beach, allowing residents easy access to the Atlantic Ocean for beach outings, fishing, and enjoying the Florida coastline.
- Age-Friendly Options: While some listings indicate it's a family-friendly park ("Palm Terrace Family Park"), other sources, especially for newer homes, highlight it as a "gated 55+ manufactured home community" in Sarasota (it's important to clarify if there are two Palm Terrace parks, or if the 55+ designation applies to a specific section or development, as the Bunnell location often lists as family-friendly). Assuming the Bunnell location is family-friendly, it means it caters to a broader demographic. If it does include 55+ sections, this offers a tailored experience for retirees.
- Affordable Living: With lot rents mentioned around $340-$375 per month (plus utilities), Palm Terrace offers a competitive and "affordable" housing option in a desirable coastal Florida location.
As a residential mobile home park, Palm Terrace typically focuses on long-term residency rather than short-term promotions common in hotels or RV parks. However, for Floridians interested in becoming part of this community, it's always advisable to inquire directly about any current incentives for new residents. These might include:
- New Home Purchase Incentives: If the park sells new manufactured homes, they might offer limited-time savings, such as "Limited Time. Savings! $10,000 Off Your New Home!" as seen in some advertisements for Palm Terrace (though this specifically mentions a Sarasota location, it's worth inquiring if similar offers apply in Bunnell).
- Reduced Lot Rent for Initial Period: Occasionally, parks might offer a discount on the first few months' lot rent to attract new residents.
- Referral Programs: If you know existing residents, inquire if the park has a resident referral program that could benefit both parties upon your successful move-in.
- Incentives for Pre-Owned Homes: For pre-owned homes within the community, sellers or the park management might offer special pricing or upgrade incentives.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information on any available promotions, lot availability, or home sales, prospective residents are strongly encouraged to contact Palm Terrace directly using the provided phone numbers.

Customer Reviews
Several friends and church members live in this neighborhood. This neighborhood too has had many improvements. It is a nice place to live if you enjoy mobile home living.
Pretty basic trailer park w/a lake. Lots are small as they always are anywhere and the people are ok for the most part. I personally like trees and they're minimal here. Located directly across from the Flagler County Courthouse & Government building w/a F.D. very close bye which is great if you have a medical condition or are older and may need help rapidly
Not a nice way to treat a disabled veteran. Finally made it to trailer park. Owners required background check & deposit for a six months lease. ( was told that the lot would be rented if deposit was not given) Owners Kept the deposit to procure a site that was not representative of what I was told( only photo's) other neighbor's encroachment on the lot to be Leased included an easy up & car. Other lot had their truck parked on lot I was to rent. Owner was rude & denied to give back deposit ( not even offering half for "background " check) Not a decent way to treat people in my opinion. I am being nicer in this review than the way I was treated by the owner when arriving.
No load music, voices, dogs, cars, or everyone complains to the front office. I'm sure great ppl live there. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting them yet. I'll give it a chance. Never judge a place by a few degenerates losers.
Lot rent is $324 a month , only if you own your home. Very stricked on the rules.. If a nabbor complained about something they don’t like about your property. You will start getting lots of notices over the most silly stuff..
