Our family had a wonderful time here. We didn’t bring a horse so I can’t comment on that part, but the new horse stalls did look very nice. The campsite was clean, well maintained, and quiet. Great mix of grassy areas and tree cover. The site manager, Branson, was responsive, laid back, and accommodating. We were anywhere from 10-25 minutes from local attractions (although we saw many horse trails much closer for those bringing a horse). There are 3 clean bathrooms with private showers at the front office building, and the “outhouse” bathrooms closer to the campsites were also clean. The one recommendation would be better lighting in the outhouse toilets. There is a motion sensor light for night time, but during the day it is still very dark without a lantern. The site was extremely peaceful with no town or road sounds at all. Birdsong accompanied the sunrise each day. I’m sure this place will start to fill up once more people find out about it. It’s a great little campsite and definitely better maintained than most I’ve been to!

First time staying here under the new ownership and this campground is better than ever! Really appreciated the new horse stalls and refurbished cabin. Maintenance was super proactive - muck was removed promptly and the place looks great overall. Only things that would make it better are a hot tub and more direct trail access! Overall very happy will stay here again.

Our family just stayed here at the Palmerosa and had a great experience. The Buckeye cabin and campground were both clean and well maintained. The camp sites were plenty big for the RV and trailer, and offered plenty of shade. Initially we did not have a camp site next to our horse stalls, but the owner was nice enough to let us relocate once another site became available. There were several horse trails close enough to keep us busy for two days and the views were beautiful!
