It's an investment in character, leadership, and a deep appreciation for North Carolina's unique coastal environment.
Pamlico Sea Base | BSA is strategically located at Blounts Creek, NC 27814, USA. This places it in Beaufort County, on the eastern side of North Carolina, directly benefiting from its proximity to the vast Pamlico Sound, which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway. The location is ideal for its focus on nautical activities, providing direct access to the expansive waters that lead out to the Outer Banks.
For North Carolina residents, reaching Blounts Creek typically involves traveling on major state highways that connect to the eastern part of the state. While it's situated in a more rural, coastal area, its importance as a specialized facility means that access roads are generally adequate for buses and vehicles transporting Scout groups. The location is fundamental to the programs offered, as it serves as the launching point for expeditions to the "OBX" (Outer Banks) and various waterways where participants can "kayak a lot," and "see horses" in their natural habitat. This regional accessibility allows Scout troops from across North Carolina to conveniently partake in these unique coastal high-adventure programs.

As a specialized high-adventure base operated by the Boy Scouts of America, Pamlico Sea Base | BSA does not typically offer public "promotions" or "special offers" in the commercial sense. Its programs are structured for registered Scouting units (troops, crews, etc.) and are generally offered at a set program fee per participant, which covers all instruction, equipment, meals, and lodging for the duration of the program.
However, the review explicitly states, "ask for group rates." This indicates that while individual discounts may not be common, Scouting units might inquire about tiered pricing based on the size of the group attending, or potential early-bird registration discounts for the upcoming season. Larger groups might receive a slightly reduced per-person rate, or there might be incentives for units that register well in advance of the program dates. It is essential for Scout Masters or unit leaders to directly contact Pamlico Sea Base for detailed information on program fees, registration deadlines, and any potential group-based pricing structures that might apply. Scholarships or financial assistance might also be available through local BSA councils.
